I just checked my emails. I used Amazon pay. I got an email from Overclockers instantly saying that my Amazon pay order had been authorised. However Amazon only sent me an email that payment was complete at 2.23am the following day. Does this mean I was in the queue from the time of ordering or from the time Amazon got off their arse and completed the payment?

The MSI card has a 5 and 1 layout. maybe its completely fine but ASUS looks better in this regards and the VRM is better. It was also a little cheaper so I got a little money back.

As for the queue, I asked and I keep my order time or I would have just cancelled and waited.

Wrong, MSI have now updated all their pictures on their home site (other regions will be updated in due course I would assume) and confirmation that their Gaming X Trio now has at least will now have 5+2 capaitor layout as per the Nvidia FE card.

Bloody awesome that I held tight on the Trio X, while I see loads have cancelled theres due to the capactitor news, while the whole time MSI were already amending their boards :) happy bunny here now, I'm probably close to top 50 now with cancellations :)

UK website doesn’t show this, and TBF I couldn’t clearly see it in the posted picture either. Plus its not unusual for websites to post the wrong picture. I would be amazed if they could change production that quickly ( it would probably require re-tooling on the production line I suspect, plus a price hike to cover the cost of the new parts - assuming they could get them that quickly ). Plus all the thousands of cards already being shipped will not be the new layout even it ot os real. Those ones will take a long time to get into circulation.

seems the problems only really appear if you want to overclock it anyway. so just stop fiddling and I’m sure you’ll/we’ll be ok.
You can clearly see the difference's here

And no this isn't the 3090 as you can see no nvlink
Also the first set of cards to go out where to reviewers and small abtches, like evga and others saying they found issues in QC and changed them to have more MLC. Simple as that and likely why there is so little of them and a huge wait.

I am not so sure. Both EVGA and ASUS had the same layout on their PR and marketing shots on their high end boards and both have gone with a different layout on their final boards.

EVGA had stated thats why their FTW cards are late. Asus have kept quiet. Asus have massive manufacturing and have managed to ship more TUF boards than anybody else has so far of their boards so it does seem strange that only 4 days before launch ASUS officially announced their strix cards were going to be late.

you can be as unsure as you like, there aren’t any Strix cards in the channel or wild with 6 poscaps. They never got that far.

fantastic if true. Bet the 50 OC have just got in don’t have 2 though. Unless, of course, they changed them between the review launch and the public launch. Be interesting to hear from someone who actual has a customer one

there is a previous post ( see above ) showing that this is definitely happening. so either the chap who swapped orders is being given mis-information or everyone else is. To be clear, the guy that swapped has done nothing wrong, as the system allows him to do it, but OC should really not allow this practice. Its incredibly unfair on those waiting patiently(ish)
Of course the chap has done nothing wrong - but perhaps keeping his original purchase number does not necessarily equate to keeping his queue position for any one card. Otherwise the only fair system would be that, as each person reaches the head of the overall queue, he is offered the choice of whichever cards are available at that moment.

Mine is going on a custom loop as soon as the WB is available so I'll be OC the card as far as is stable. Although the WB could be available long before the card lol.

Possibly. All just speculation without something official from OC, although it looks like the “official” word may not being adhered to. I think I need to take my own advice and just sit back and wait for whatever is going to happen, to happen. Maybe I should put this much focus into the work I’m supposed to be doing....;)

From ***** to ******. Paid with Paypal but payment was only taken/processed on Wednesday of the following week (ordered on Friday). Combined with this queue swap nonsense, I'm royally screwed.

I hope those CS reps were talking out of their arse and the queue jumpers get put to the end of the queue. Would serve them right for trying to be cheeky.
