Same here - rang up to ask about a CPU cooler and started my question with "don't worry, I'm not asking about my 3080 order", which got a slightly hollow laugh. I don't think I could ever go back to working in CS these days. Regardless of how people think everything is being handled, it's not easy for the people fielding questions and trying to provide consistent support.

CS isn't easy because of all the Karens calling.

Suppose people with genuine queries not relating to a graphics card need a point of contact
Yeah that's very true, but I would set the voice message to "If your phoning about your ******* GPU, you will go back 100 places I the queue". No point in harassing them. I want it so badly, as I'm trying to build a new PC and I only have the case and PSU at the moment. Waiting on the card confirmation before buying everything else.

I don't mind waiting and this must be frustrating for OCUK as well when they have 10000 orders and receive 20 cards to send out.

Problem is, on the main website, there is no announcement, nothing. Many are still buying the cards without knowing they'll arrive next year. Not everyone is checking the forum so they have zero information.
Communication is key in situations like this. So far, we got some updates on the forum but what about everyone else? Pre-orders are up since 17th of September, does everyone else know they'll receive their cards late this year or next year?

to be honest the unofficial queue calculator should be pulled offline. It's just adding to people's confusion and frustration. It has be shown to be demonstrably wrong. Not just inaccurate - straight up, plain, wrong. It estimates a queue in excess of 1300 for the TUF OC yet OC customer service have told customers that the actual amount of orders for that card are around 700 (as of yesterday morning).

There is literally no reason to use the unofficial tool. You may as well roll a dice, times that number by your age and add the number of birds you can see out your window and use that as your "Unofficial" queue position...

Not really. To those that understand probability and scaling incomplete datasets it makes sense. If you don't understand it, don't use it. Yes as new information that contradicts the previous model arrives people's positions will change. That's how it works.

I ordered at 2:07pm with payment and the cal says im number 22 inline - no sign of an email but I'm not putting my hopes up. I'll let you all know if I get one.
