Its arrived and installed. However when playing warzone I'm seeing it go from 160 fps to 120 fps and this 40 or so fps drop happens a lot.

Setup
10900k
2x montiors
cosair cooling
750w psu

Anyone any idea whats going on? Also seem to be getting what looks like lag.

Throttling power as your PSU is below recommended specs is a possibility. Nvidia recommends atleast 850w with a i9 chip.

probably your psu isn't getting the job done

the 3090 has transient spikes of over 400w, the 10900k is also power hungry especially overclocked - it all adds up

Really I read it was a 750w
Yeah the recommended is 850W.

I have a new system with a 3090 and currently downloading CoD (still 93GB to go) and can see if i have any drops tomorrow but i haven't had any issues with anything else i've played.

Run time spy on 3d mark (https://benchmarks.ul.com/3dmark) and see your results comparibley to others - Also if you run GPU-Z while playing or benchmarking and look at perfcap reason in the sensors tab that may show why.

What resolution and in game settings are you using? My CPU bottlenecks my 3080 (10700k 5.2GHz)in Warzone at 1440p unless I crank the resolution scale right up and it’s worse on some parts of the map than others. Should be a lot more stable in multiplayer.

Everything high and running 1440p.

Just checked the Nvidia site for the Recommended System Power for the RTX 3090 and it states 750W with an I9 10900k, so the op should be ok on the power front.
Check for yourselves.

Msi after burner?

Yes but it a takes a little bit of configuration if you’ve never used it before. Or do you have GeForce Experience installed? If you go into settings > ‘enable experimental features’ you can display a performance overlay with alt+r in game which shows GPU usage.

You’ll find that GPU usage in Warzone drops to 70-80% in some areas of the map, meaning that your CPU is now the bottleneck and I think that might be why you’re seeing the drops in framerate.
