Finally got it 3090

It won't be the PSU, COD is a mess since season 6 started, game is running at great FPS for me but random drops like OP and it feels like a stutter mess even though frames are high.

Also noticed temps on the gpu were at 72 degrees.

I'm going to run the G-force experience today.

Temps are fine, my 3080 can get up to 76 in Warzone.

What do you class as okay though? I've done loads of digging and quite a few complaining about poor performance since season 6, it's pretty much the norm that performance drops when they launch a

No fps drop. It was stable on the super. But season 6 does seem a little laggy. But nothing to warrant a big 40ish fps drop.

I still think it's just Warzone being Warzone. My frames drop down to 110ish aswell in some areas at 1440p with 10700k and 3080, I just dont notice such a big swing because my frames are capped at 138 with a 144Hz Gsync monitor to stop it going over the monitors refresh rate (Nvidia Reflex was just added to COD and it automatically does this for G Sync monitors when G Sync is on to keep latency low/consistant FWIW).

My guess is at the moment that it's probably just a driver issue that will be corrected by NVIDIA in time. I mean to be honest I don't know if that drop in FPS is to be expected or not, so I am not sure about the scale of the problem here, but remember that the 3090 is very new.

Yes but it a takes a little bit of configuration if you’ve never used it before. Or do you have GeForce Experience installed? If you go into settings > ‘enable experimental features’ you can display a performance overlay with alt+r in game which shows GPU usage.

You’ll find that GPU usage in Warzone drops to 70-80% in some areas of the map, meaning that your CPU is now the bottleneck and I think that might be why you’re seeing the drops in framerate.

Done this. I have seen drops to around them figures but the fps remained constant at them times.

i played Warzone for an hour or so earlier to test it.
My spec:
10900k
32GB ram
Eagle OC 3090
1440p @ 165hz
850w Corsair 80+gold

No stutters or anything and that was everything maxed and RTX on - maintained FPS generally 180+.

What PSU is it? A good quality one might be OK. But if its a bit long in the tooth or not the best unit then its definitely a possibility as others have said.

Be interested to see your full WZ settings mate. I get nowhere near that on a 3080 maxed out, usually around 125-140 but can dip, I'm using a 3900X though so intel chips will give better fps usually a good 15-20 depending on the game.
