its nice this week there has been some really good pricing on the b550 range . prices coming down. not long not till AMD maybe for the first time in 15 years plus take back the crown of gaming ! :D

i can only imagine the AMD gurus on here with bottles of champagne at the ready :p

And AMD triple prices because they are finally DaBest. Muhaha!

The run on AM4 motherboards will likely be mental. I’d buy now to avoid disappointment.

"What specs do you have?" "A 5900x and a 6900xt"
Seems odd, but calling them 6900x and 6900xt might be more confusing. Saying that, some harmony between CPU and GPU naming might increase sales from OCD suffers.

humbug people will give you a pass on passion for AMD products but....the naming of AMD products is terrible. you cant compare intel with AMD products. in any way.

Sorry you are talking out of your backside, Intel's naming scheme model number of recent is somewhat reticent, in fact almost like a secret code, and unless you work in the industry means SFA unless you actively investigate the model names. Examples already given, i7-1065G7 and i7-1060G7, and then add -i7-1068NG7, that is bad as the monitor model numbers you hear.

Can just imagine the people in the purple shirt shop explaining to a customer the difference when they don't have a clue themselves! :p

If you are so good at naming products, maybe you should apply for a job at one of the CPU manufacturers and explain what they are doing wrong, because I can 100% guarantee you won't come up with an answer here, other than "they are rubbish" of "hurr hurr hurr, terrible names"

Intel are known for terrible naming and numbering conventions and nothing about that has changed to the present day. AMD are now much more logical in comparison, especially as they have now standardized desktop and laptop numbering.

This.

its AMD they come up with the worst confusing naming of products in pc components period. :p

Obvious troll is obvious

And Intel don't?
It won't matter how many examples you post, he'll just ignore them

Think I’m going to upgrade to a b550/x570 and one of the new 5*** chips. Currently running a 2700x on a ch6 and was planning to get a 3700x and wait for am5 but now I’m thinking I’ll just skip the 1st am5 release meaning I’ll have the new board and cpu for 2 years or so. I was a early adopter of am4 and tbh for 6 months is was just a pain so I’ll just sit out the 1st am5 release.
