maybe you would be unhappy knowing how many cards are coming in, personally, i'd prefer it.

I'm on the 970's myself so long overdue this upgrade. If your 970 does die on you then give me a shout. It's not ideal but I got a 680 kicking around here gathering dust. It's the dcii cooler so probably cost me more sending it to you than I could sell it for.

Thanks! I'll keep it in mind, for the time being i've had to relegate myself to only using the PC for work and game on consoles (it's overheated twice during gameplay already). I think pushing it to 1440p hasn't agreed with it! I'm picking a different deity to pray to every three days, so that might help. Though im running low on sacraficial goats, does anyone know if Feta would do the job? it's easier to obtain!

To be honest I do not think anyone in this thread would buy a new AMD Navi card from OC on this experience, they will go elsewhere and get it as highly likely to get stock..

i find that jaffa cakes contain a lot more sacrificial power than goats, and also a lot easier to clean

OCUK support said I would have to RMA it and return it at my own cost. The product hadn't even arrived, so I asked if I could refuse delivery, and just have DPD return it to OCUK. Support managed to get DPD to recall it before it even got to my door, which was good.

But yeah, OCUK still charged me the delivery. Which as I say, I get that, it just would've been nice to have been told too. Otherwise, I might've sold it privately to recoup some cost, and not lose out at all. Live and learn :p

Well to be fair to you, you could have sold the extra card at a massive mark up, so you have to be commended for allowing it to be re-stocked and go to someone who actually wants one. Well done that man! :)

I personally think it'll be worth it to wait and play it properly when your 3080 comes, I started control on my 5700xt but decided to wait until I had an Nvidia GPU again.

^^^ This! Based on my experience here, I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to come to OCUK for GPUs at least.

These 970's are going in Xmas p.c for my kids, one each till 3060 is a thing. Trying to break them away from consoles now they are a bit older. Do shout me if desperate for gpu. I have no onboard GPU so if my GPU dies I'm up that creek without a paddle.

I reckon when cards come in the warehouse, a certain amount are put to the side for the above reasons.

I'd say it looks more like an error on the system...

All other 3080/90 cards are out of stock, all pre-configured systems with a 3080/90 show as either out of stock or with a mid-October date.

Remember there are plenty of people out there still ordering systems that do not have a 3080/90 in them so the team are not exactly going to be idle...
