*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I am number 16 in the Zotac queue from the competitor screenshot. I spoke to them yesterday and spoke to a really nice guy who completely got the situation. He said I could move to Palit or PNY and get to the front of the queue but he said its just a gamble on whichever cards come in next. I have stayed with Zotac currently but they said I can call anytime to swap, answered the phone within a few minutes as well.

And they said that queue swapping was now not an option didn't they? Or did I dream that?

To be fair to OcUK I have been using them for 20 years since I bought my first product from them which was a 1GHz AMD Athlon Thunderbird overclocked CPU lol. I would have used them for the 3080 but I just couldn't get on their website and I was just lucky to get a slot on a competitor site.

If I get my new queue position update and my position has gone down I'll be happy but also equally as confused since there was no announcements about any being sent out. It's always possible its cancellations but I'm only position 18 I can't imagine many ahead would cancel so close unless they for sure picked it up in stock elsewhere.

So ya telling me if I ordered a pre built at £1957 it will be here in a week maybe week and a half with a gigabyte oc card?

As far as I can see, that is a 'no'.

All the 3080 options showed as out of stock, there was a Gigabyte 3090 showing as available but I suspect that was a mistake.

Reference is not the specs they sent out, minimum they specced is below Reference design, and as somebody said, they have to validate all designs anyway.

Seems like a **** show. Not only has the bots taking all the stock but now finding out my Zotac card is gonna be trash when it arrives :|

I've been using OC for twenty years, too. They're absolutely fine if they have your item in stock and there is nothing wrong with it. But I did have to chase them recently for over a month about a monitor on back order - same deal, really...I didn't mind waiting, but I didn't like the radio silence.

And also about 15 years ago they refused to accept a CPU I returned as it was DOA. By which I mean a bunch of pins were bent. They said I must have installed it incorrectly, which is not true. I think they sent me someone else's return without having checked it first. A very long argument over several weeks, usually waiting 3-4 days for them to respond each time. Eventually they accepted the return. This experience burned me, so now I film every unboxing of expensive items I receive. Quite paranoid.

So yeah, the writing was on the wall for 3080. Don't know why I ordered from here.

Well to be fair to you, you could have sold the extra card at a massive mark up, so you have to be commended for allowing it to be re-stocked and go to someone who actually wants one. Well done that man! :)
Most likely will end up in a prebuild system and make OC a ton more money.
OP should have just sold it on and made a killing :)
