*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Being told in an email at the start of all this from OCUK that they will be at the top for getting cards that arrive in the UK. Then seeing other competitors in the UK get more shipments then OCUK....

I'm super tempted to cancel and just try my luck elsewhere as people who I know have been placing orders last week and already have there card installed...

It's so frustrating, I skipped buying from a competitor that said delivery was likely at the end of November as I believed that crap about OCUK being a big player that would get stock first. That clearly isn't the case now and I'm left wondering if I'll even get the card this year.

I made the same mistake as you. Welcome to the club.

I wonder whether there's any comment on this, the fact that of similar cards and ordered after us by a substantial time period that they are getting their cards. I'd imagine soon they're going to experience a big cancellation hit.

Whoever buys these cards on ebay at these prices is an accessory to crime.
mate some people do give two *****, they have the cash to burn through and just own the card. in their mind "i bought one of the best graphics cards and i dont have to put myself through crap like waiting and dealing with shortages".

the only reason you see these things on ebay is because there is a market for them

I highly recoommend a PX277 fantastic 27" 1440p 165hz with little to no motion blur, competes with my Dell 27" TN!
It destoys older 27" 1440 Acer prediator monitor i used to own and itw as 700 quid or so!

I 'upgraded' to a MSI optix AG32CV 165hz not long ago. The monitor is so good but 1080p just wont cut it for the new cards. Waiting on the Ventus 3080 but cant see it arriving anytime soon

I recently got a DELL S3220DGF 31.5" QHD HDR400 FREESYNC 2 164HZ CURVED GAMING MONITOR, they are like £420 and im very happy with it, best bang for my buck I feel, also it works great with G-Sync.
I know where I wouldn't order from though :-)

Guys, I know there are a lot of new posters (welcome!) but the rules about competitors are clear.

We've had to delete a lot of posts and suspend posters this morning already. We don't want to do that, so please make sure to read the rules before posting.

Dont forget the i sold my card to make money before it dropped in value, now i have nothing:D:D

I find the "I sold my graphics card early" crew quite amusing. The chances of picking a card up on day 1 has been shockingly bad for a number of releases now. It always follows this pattern. If you're not prepared to be without for a month or two at a minimum then don't sell.

It used to be ok.

ya but a month or two is not like being told by nvidia themselves (not enough supply till the end of the year)

Some people earn more money in the time it takes to type this reply than the cost difference to pay a scalper, what's more cost efficient? keep checking OC forums for an update? Or ringing around trying to find a card (weeks at this rate), or just pay the extra £500 which they would more than earn in the time lost?

It's not a crime in law or any definition than your own view Im afraid.
