*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I recently got a DELL S3220DGF 31.5" QHD HDR400 FREESYNC 2 164HZ CURVED GAMING MONITOR, they are like £420 and im very happy with it, best bang for my buck I feel, also it works great with G-Sync.
I know where I wouldn't order from though :)

I have a brand new one of these arriving tomorrow! Managed to find it for ~£348

I find the "I sold my graphics card early" crew quite amusing. The chances of picking a card up on day 1 has been shockingly bad for a number of releases now. It always follows this pattern. If you're not prepared to be without for a month or two at a minimum then don't sell.

Wish i'd known that beforehand!!! My first GPU on release and i got caught up in the hype plus i wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 the best way i possibly could been waiting on that game since 2013!

Defo not doing it again though!

Don't worry everyone, OCUK has us covered! I was concerned up until I read this:

"Although we may not currently have the stock available to fulfill every order immediately, we are in the best possible position to acquire it before every other UK retailer. This means the only place to preorder right now is at Overclockers UK!"

WHY SHOULD YOU KEEP YOUR PRE-ORDER WITH OVERCLOCKERS UK?

You get much better value from a "Korean montior". Never purchase 1080p it's obsolete.

I got a Pixio PX7 Prime last year for £380. 165hz 1440p IPS, Shares the same panel as the Aorus FI27Q.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone upgrading to a 3080 that is still running 1080p.

It used to be ok.
It did but it's not been for a good few years now. Unless you're in your late teens or early 20s and haven't ever bought a GPU for yourself before you'd know this.

ya but a month or two is not like being told by nvidia themselves (not enough supply till the end of the year)
True but I reckon most people who ordered within the 1st couple hours of release will still get theirs within 2 months. Putting your order into a pre-order queue on any other day, with how much was said about how many were sold, you'd know you're in for a long wait.

Guys, I know there are a lot of new posters (welcome!) but the rules about competitors are clear.

We've had to delete a lot of posts and suspend posters this morning already. We don't want to do that, so please make sure to read the rules before posting.

We do appreciate you and the work you do free for OC (That in itself personally I think is a bit unfair!), but as a customer you could avoid most of the postings if OC showed they were a little more interested and enthusiastic about peoples custom, it's only going to get worse as the optics are slowly getting more and more clouded. And forcing people off the forums will mean they start to spam across more platforms without OC control.
Them at the top need to start getting ahead of this, the internet is full of Karren! :-)

Hi guys. So I installed my Strix OC 3080 yesterday and currently been fairly unstable in Destiny 2 and Witcher 3. Gave it a blast in the Shadowlands ptr pre-patch and with RTX is running very well. So still will have to wait out the more stable drivers, one plus side of anyone waiting!

I'll be sure to run some tests to see if it can go above 2.1ghz in some simulations, and maybe grab a beta driver to see if it's more stable.

Here's a pic of my system with the Strix:

Get OC to sort itself out and give us worthwhile updates and this won't be a problem.

did u get that card from overclockers ?

As I said in the old thread, I don't mind waiting for my card to ship at all, thankfully I wasn't one of the ones to sell my current card so i still have a perfectly acceptable PC.

What does annoy me though is the next to no information being supplied from OCUK, its all well and good sending a queue notifier out (which i am grateful for don't get me wrong), but so much for being the biggest and best supplier in the UK, that is downright farcical that they could even claim that, knowing that certain brands of cards have entered the country AND shipped to customers, yet OCUK has not received one of them proves that their claim is utter nonsense

Exactly. A competitor with a status page has noted EVGA has been received and shipped out as of Monday so.... where's the OCUK EVGA cards unless this is a blatant lie?
