Got this email from EVGA EU customer support;

"Hi MrJames,

He forwarded your mail to us, the helpdesk, that we can assisting you further.

Currently, we're experiencing a high demand of our products, which was sold out quickly after the launch.

Therefore, we are currently short of supply of it.

But new shipments are on the way and our partners will have their warehouses refilled.

I've followed up for some actual useful information, but positive to hear the cards are on the way to retailer warehouses I guess. No idea how long it takes to ship!

Would be mental if OCUK don't get a batch of these within the EVGA cards in the next 2 weeks. After that email support sent out that went big on social media I can see it happening though!
 
My understanding from that Twitter exchange is that OCUK aren't a direct customer of EVGA... So maybe that means OCUK will receive their allowance of EVGA cards once whoever they receive their supply from has met their own demand. Maybe it doesn't work like that though. Who knows, just crossing my fingers for before the end of the month!
 
It's why I bought EVGA elsewhere. In fact this makes the third GPU in a row I've not bought from OCuk. Just not competitive for the cards I want/end up buying (all three EVGA).

The other vendor seems a lot more in bed with EVGA than does ocuk. Crossing fingers for latter half of this week!

My concern at the moment as someone who has ordered the 3080 non-Ultra FTW3 is that I'm not sure it even exists yet? It's the only model that does not have an auto notify on the EU site -

Will this card see the light of day, is it being produced? Will OCUK cancel my order out of the blue? Will I have an option to swap my choice? I'm sat at 17 in the queue for this card, but if it's never actually produced then what are my options?

Commented and updooted the reddit post, it's nice that the staff at EVGA actually respond

I wouln't read to much into an missing auto notify button, the're website isn't the best but they're not double chaging on VAT so they are working on it and the prices are close to MSRP.

I'm 2 in queue for 3080 XC3 Gaming but we're bassicly waiting on the mercy of how much stock is allocated to UK distrobuters vs stock sent direct to EVGA partners (WHICH OCUK is not unfortunetly)

generally, the 30x0 range has a face only a mother could love. EVGA need to fire their designer and re-hire whomever was in charge of the 1080 series.

I mean I think we all know that was a fib because I don;t think one UK site had any EVGA cards. I'm still waiting for mine from the launch and the place I bought it from still haven;t had any stock of any EVGA in yet, in fact there's a delivery "this week" of them according to the blurb and if I don;t get it in this delivery window I'm just going to cancel the order and buy a treadmill instead.
 
Where did the info of FTW ultras first come from? It's just a factory OC and different box art work, not sure why the normal FTW3s can't be shipped?
 
Hopefully OC get stock in the next week or two. I feel for those who ordered non Ultra FTWs are getting shafted a bit, no sign of any shipping. tbh there's no solid review on the 3080 ftws just a bunch of 3090s, not many seem to have 3080 ftws yet.
 
No 9 for the EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra, hope they get some shipment this week. I have been speaking to Jacob from EVGA, and he said that shipment to UK is being sent out. I noticed that other etailers have already received EVGA cards and shipped them out. Not sure what is happening to OCUK allocation. Could it be that priority is given to Case King first? Strange phenomenon..

Has anyone from this forum spoken to customer service for the EVGA specifically?

I'm not sure how the allocation works, hopefully we do see some come in soon. Pretty sure both me and you will be in the first shipments should OC get any. Number 2 in queue for me, same card.
 
According to an email from OCUK, I am 35th in a queue for 3080 FTW3 Ultra ... Does anyone have any information on shipment from EVGA? I feel like even if I managed to phone OCUK, I wouldn't be able to get any information from them nor I would be able to get through to them considering I was trying to ask some questions and nobody was picking the phone up... Everyone here and I included, we're all waiting for a little bit of information regarding the shipment... I'm alright with waiting, but I'm not alright with being kept in the dark.
