*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo Speak to Mr N Vidia, tell him he needs to compensate your customers for them messing up supplies by providing a big box of haribo or jelly beans, I like jelly beans, with the cards. And a nice case of whisky for you and the team :D

You know what I do find a bit annoying
I know card reviewers and tech channels need the cards to a generate the hype and get the shill going

BUT

I do have a problem with them having x2 or so of rare cards just laying about and one of each aib I’m like

there’s like ten customers from this one YouTube channel that could have been sorted there

still it’s a none argument as they always get cards to show off for the aibs etc

Having won the prize for having the highest queue number (1972 for an Asus TUF non OC) or any card queue for that matter. I have just cancelled my "order".

Frankly I'm very disappointed by the whole experience with doing business with Overclockers and will not be putting any further business their way.

I wish everyone a speedy and satisfactory conclusion to their own transaction with Overclockers and that you all get your cards soon.

lol, you're blaming OC for you being 1972 in the queue?

Next time OC has some exotic memory that you want, you'll be buying from them. That's how fickle people are.

Has anyone heard ******* anything from msi over despatching. Have looked ******* everywhere. Their reddit. Twitter. God knows where to look to find information now. I know its golden week but youd think theyd put something somewhere

Why are you disappointed with OcUK, that you spent an age before placing your order? Lmao

You’ve answered your own question. It’s golden week, it’s a national holiday. I’m also led to believe it’s a pretty big deal over there. It’s basically organised so they got a big block of annual leave.

Anyone up for a bet? What's gonna happen first, we'll all be allowed to see our loved ones or the mythical 3080 arrives on our doorstep?

Where are people finding these stray "in stock" 3080's ffs - I've been refreshing the same 30 tabs every 3-5 minutes for the last two weeks!

They appear within the 3-5 minutes you are not refreshing.. try harder :P

Above, is your alternative. Constant refreshing and monitoring of websites.. I know which I prefer... Gives me more time to refresh here every 3-5 mins instead :P

I have a question that someone deffo knows the answer too but prob won't get a answer....

Can someone tell me how many ocuk staff members are waiting for a new rtx from stock thats been received already?

MSI seem to be taking the approach of not saying anything.

We know that 47+ Ventus 3080 and some (maybe 20ish) Ventus 3090 arrived and left OC today based on forum posters shipment notices and queue positions, and 30 Gaming X Trios last week, so they actually seem to be doing best of the shipments we've heard about OC getting, but no communication from MSI anywhere I've seen about what they are doing to speed up production or delivery since the start of this.

I don’t think they are allowed to say numbers, I think that was said a while back. I think that’s some BS from further up the 3080 food chain.

I think a problem for this also, is people see the forum as CS outlet, but it really isn’t and never has been, it’s community which then has a hint of company or product information.

I agree that maybe having more members of staff on here, rather than leaving it to the mods might be a good idea. But maybe with the level of enquires through other means, or staffing levels, or even COVID, it isn’t possible.

Any way, this is a digression.

I wouldn't say it's a digression. I'm discussing something that is in the thread of the title.

I think the point made about the affiliation OC have with the forum is pretty weak......It is literally part of the website.

They don't need to say specific numbers, just a decent indication.

Covid-19, speculative low staffing etc isn't really an excuse. OC can't really brag about being a top stockist, and then not have the resource to be able to provide some rudimentary Admin.

@CCC I never expected to find myself in a queue in the first place, there were 10 cards in stock when I placed an order only to receive an email the next day to tell me I was in queue. However, I then finding myself 400 places behind someone in the queue who ordered a day after me. This didn't help me having any more confidence that my order was being well managed at all. Reading this forum thread has left me with little confidence that there is likely to be any stock movement for sometime. I would have been happy if there was any indication that good stock volumes were arriving, there has been no evidence of this. I'm not happy for a company to take my money and then fail to keep me and the wider customer base fully informed on what is going on or in this case not.

I had a similar experience 20 years ago with another component supplier and never did business with them again. They no longer exist.

I'll not be doing business with Overclockers again. There are plenty of other suppliers out there.
