*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

yeh man im 2nd in que,, hence why im asking.. :-\ havent heard anything since my que position...
Hey man i wouldnt worry about it. You should stop checking. With the Gigabytes shipped today youll be first in like for an Eagle. You could be in queue position 600 like me xD

For anyone else who ordered the KFA2 3080 I contacted support 5 days ago and got a reply this morning

"
Dear Customer ,

Thank you for reaching KFA2 customer service .
Sorry for keep you waiting .
Please note that shipment will be out by end of Oct .
Best Regards
KFA2"

I had asked if a shipment had been made to the UK yet. So unsure if it'll reach the UK by the end of October or if it'll just be shipped then and we'll have to wait another month or so until it's delivered.
Yeah I got a similar reply, don't know if we have a shipment on the way or are still waiting for a shipment to be sent, either way without OC actually communicating with us we are none the wiser. Have seen a lot of companies now saying when shipments are actually expected to arrive i wonder if OC will follow suit or continue to stay silent.

Any news on any 3080 TUF OC cards coming?

The only info there is is what Gibbo said in his post in the other thread. I think he said they shipped a small amount of them yesterday.

I managed to order a 3080 TUF OC from elsewhere on Tuesday night. Got the dispatch note and it's arriving Saturday. I

In the meanwhile I play with the other new toy I ordered on Tuesday which arrived today, the Focal Arche headamp & dac. :D

Least you have a queue position and a good one at that. I'm still waiting on the original email that never arrived. They have my money but can't tell me with any certainty that I am in the queue at all or what position I am, even if I am in the queue. Total shambles. Just waiting on a last refusal from customer service to guarantee me that I am in the queue so that I can cancel.

I don't get why it's so hard for OcUK to copy what "one of their competitors" has done and show us when they are expecting deliveries to arrive for each brand, take it a step further and show us for each model as well.

This is going to be the last time I'm using OcUK quite frankly. I always preferred them to the competitors but the way they are handling the communications regarding this is terrible.

Lack of transparency should immediately ring alarm bells. It can mean any or all of the below:
  • They may not want us to figure out how slowly they are allocating stock,
  • or how little they have of it,
  • or maybe they are using stock for their prebuilts,
  • maybe they are prioritising corporate partners over regular customers,
  • They are letting people queue jump
  • They don't have the capabilities
  • They just don't care
Otherwise we'd be able to track and question them more as people on here are quite organized (compiling queue lists and order dispatches) we would be able to tell that they are not dispatching as many cards as they are getting in.

"we got some cards in today. An OK number of 3090s went out this morning" - What does this mean for Christ's sake?! How long will I be waiting for?

Also, its pretty crappy business practices to take thousands of pre-orders when your actual stock is a few hundred at best.

They are embarrassed and rightfully so.

Plus their practices on these forums and on their social channels (posting memes that mock customers, deleting and locking threads, authoritarian rules against competitor talk) scream insecurity and are straight up machiavellian. Their house their rules, but I have never seen a company behave like this. Shame on @Gibbo and team.

I wonder how many of us haven't received the queue position yet. So far it's you and me.

And not 1 Gigabyte Eagle arrived at OCUK.... bro what is wrong with this card??

Frustrating there's nothing about the Eagle. I'm 69th so highly doubt I'd be on the first batch anyway!

Looks like the gigabyte shipping update we got from them forgot to send the Eagles!

It seems like an issue with the power connectors on the Eagles. Gigabyte have changed the design now but may be updating some of their already-manufactured stock (as it's apparently an easy swap for them to do). There are more details in https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...-gaming-oc-power-connector-concerns.18900176/

Came with haribo, glad to see that's still a thing

Not many I don't think. I am sure we would have heard more about it if it were a more widespread problem. Have they managed to tell you your queue position yet? And if so is it your real position from the list that the emails are taken from (and orders processed from) or is based on the "old" order list which is a different list completely?

Given your moral outrage, I assume you've cancelled your order?

No, when I called they told me that they can't tell me my queue position because what "the system shows them" is not accurate and that it would be far more accurate to wait for the email. They said I will get it "by the end of the week", because the updates will be weekly and if I was skipped in one update I just need to wait for the following one.

Which clashes a lot with what Gibbo said, but hey, is it the first time that CS and Gibbo say different things?

I'm fortunate to be able to keep a hold of my pre-order while trying elsewhere. Sadly I know of many others who are not able to do so and missed out.

Perfectly fine to criticise their practices when I really have no other choice - and they are exploiting that.
