*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

yeah my forum name is super out of date lol.

I'd still argue "one of the first" is pretty misleading but I can see that wouldn't hold up in court. Doesn't make it any better to their customers and especially to threaten a customer like they did, left a really bad taste in my mouth for OCUK tbh. If Alee had replied with what you said, it'd of been absolutely fine with me and I'd of just been a little annoyed but just... ugh.

(For context, the screenshot I shared was @Bariseray 's comment about another retailer getting more stock vs Gibbo's comment about OCUK being "one of the first", implying they'd get at least equal stock)
Yeah... I can assume most of us ordered specifically because we felt we'd get our cards faster than if we ordered with a competitor... its become clear thats not the case

Dont see where I mentioned asking for a refund, I refer you to the dictionary definition of sarcasm.

Nah - 600 odd in the queue for a card that barely anyone in the country has received. Hate to say it but you're not gonna see your card any time soon. I'm 10th in my queue here and I don't expect to see that until November. :)

Guys I see nice conversation here let’s do like that for next year please don’t order anything from OC use competitors then may someone learn something :D:D:D:D:D

Yep. When i ordered i understood my card would arrive at OC on that date so i would receive soon after. Thats what sucks. I actually wanted the aorus and as it turns out if i hadn't been mislead i could possibly have had that by now

Thats the real kicker. An inducement that causes loss and inconvenience. Then again if they can expect to supply the card within 30 days of the ETA its deemed fine.

looks like anyone who ordered MSI (like me) might as well stop checking for updates till the 19th October at the least.
ah well.

Had some time this afternoon, so I've updated my queue data spreadsheet!

As a reminder, if you have a queue number it'd be great if you could submit your info to the form at this link! And do so again whenever you get an update email. While it doesn't give us much more info than reading this topic back to front does, who really wants to do that (apart for me)?

You can see the results here.

So, new features:
  • I've added a "Recent Shipments" tab. Plan is to keep an eye on people getting dispatch emails and queue updates and provide a nice easy refrence for roughly what has shipped since the queue system was launched.
  • Used some lookups and filtering to split different queue updates by column, and merge entries from the same forum users, to give a better idea of how the queue is moving.

Just looked at your spreadsheet. For the gigabyte vision I think they sent 14 as I moved 14 places from 36 to 22. If not there was atleast one cancellation

I've managed to secure an Eagle with another retailer. I just chanced a look and there was stock, managed to pay and complete the order. Received an email 3 minutes later saying they had to delay my order. I phoned up and the guy said basically they have -1 in stock, which was me, and they would be getting a delivery next week and the card i got would be the first out. He managed to tell me a lot of info which was really good. I'm keeping my pre-order here just in case, but yeah, they are out there guys. Good luck!

Oh thats you! Im pretty sure they unfortunately covered their tracks by saying "one of the first" and as such can claim they said nothing false.

How do they cover their tracks here? ;-)

We are receiving and shipping cards on a daily basis as they arrive from the various manufacturers.
From their web page.
.
They are not receiving and shipping on a daily basis. If they are, they are not telling us. Where was today's shipment for example?

Chill, it's like trying to swap to the fasted lane in a traffic jam. You might have to accept there is a traffic jam and wait it out, just because the other lane is moving slightly faster for a minute doesn't mean it'll get to the end faster. Right know you're just honking like crazy hoping it'll get things moving. Spoiler: It won't!

Tbh I'm still bitter that OC only posted what units they would actually have in stock at launch on the forum. I actually rang up prior to ask and they said they didn't know so they either just lied to me or cba to check.

Either way it makes me feel like a second class customer because I didn't have the forethought to check on volunteer run forum prior to my purchase. Definitely makes me less inclined to come here first for the next big release I buy.

Trying to order elsewhere is impossible, everything notify me or out of stock, how are people even managing to re order elsewhere

Keep refreshing and dont rely on the notification options as they are delayed. Stock came in briefly at a site yesterday and was gone within minutes, no notification email received so you have to be quick.

Probably best option are the FE cards as they seem to have weekly stock, thats how I got my 3090.

Im waiting on a MSI X trio 3080 as the 3090 is way overkill for my 1440p setup.

The ETA was stated at the time of purchase. Once it disappeared from the site I was not given any other ETA.
Then your ETA is what it was at the time of purchase and they do not have a new one to provide to you yet. They cannot give you what they do not have. If you have had not a new one and would like further information, then contact support. Also, give further consideration what the E in ETA means.

Don't pick my words apart, ok?
I'll quote and pick apart whatever I want, thanks.

IDK about others but for me i'm going to give them another couple of weeks and see what happens now holidays are done. If numbers aren't on the up then i'll take my cash elsewhere. I don't see what more anybody can do. I personally wont see a huge benefit but as this is my first proper gaming & graphics pc in years i wanted the best. I got a 2070 to tide me over and i'm glad i did as i have a feeling the 3080 isn't going to appear soon. Love to be proven wrong but the eagles are migrating to other places it seems right now lol.

Yep i got a notification but you got there first grrrr. Still its one to watch if theyre getting more in next week :)

I'm going to bet that they'll say that that sentence doesn't say "shipping and receiving RTX 3080 cards on a daily basis" but that it refers to GPUs in general. At least, that's what I'd say if I had to write a piece of info that would attract more preorders while defending myself from accusations of misleading advertisement.

OCUK's handling of this has been shocking. I'm building a whole new PC next month when the Ryzen 5900X comes out, and this debacle has made it to where I won't even consider ordering anything from here. As soon as I get my card, whether it be from here, or if I get lucky and get it from a competitor, I'm done with OCUK.

I know they won't give a crap, but it was nice to vent. :D

I'm personally waiting for the strix 3080 gaming oc card and I must admit there is a discrepancy between what we have been told and asus rog uks official statement "all cards are shipped to overclockers are in equal amounts" we have been seeing tuf cards but theres been a fair few of them since asus officially launched the strix. All we want to know is will overclockers honor any lost promotional bundles due to poor communication of delivery or at least make a statement saying we are expecting to start seeing X number of cards for X brand in the following week at least then we all know where we stand. Transparency of operations will improve trust and less cancellations so maybe an update daily even if it's just a no new news is better than nothing.
