*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

The reason I purchased my Eagle OC because it said on the page clearly when I purchased that stock was due 23/09/20 which was obviously incorrect.

Never used OCUK before and will definitely not use them again after receiving my card, extremely disappointed with the lack of consistent official information.

Furthermore procurement wise OCUK will surely have expected shipment and delivery dates of card lines via discussion with manufacturer reps and could give reasonable expected stock dates in advance as opposed to providing loose indications a day before things supposedly arrive.

Nope. OCUK haven’t shipped a single strix out yet.
a joke tbh so much money taken for these some mention of them would be good im near the front of the queue even a small order should fulfill mine but not even being mentioned is a joke when you consider how much of our money they are holding. they must being trying to get hold of them and they must have been told something so even bad new is news so i can forget about it for now..i may just cancel and get a card down the line when its alll calmed down

'Luckily, Overclockers UK is one of the biggest and oldest NVIDIA partners and we will be one of the first companies to get stock'

Euro Truck Sim or Snowrunner should release some DLC where you have to transport a tiny box of 6 3080s across the country.

To be fair, this would also work as a death stranding cargo job but 6 at a time, 20000 to complete.

Anyway, amazing posts by mods and the info from the queue calculator are exactly what we wanted to see/hear so thank you for that, truly. Also I'm sorry you had to step up when you aren't paid for your pain!

Ive ruined about 15 auctions so far, its the closest thing I have to interacting with the card
Thats actually a very childish way to act. not to mention being against that sites policies. How would you feel if somebody came to your work and made it almost impossible for you to do your job whilst bragging about it to others.

Dont forget these guys are not doing anything wrong (just immoral in some/most eyes). They've had to jump through the same hoops. People like you inflating prices are making genuine bidders pay more. These "scalpers" have beaten us to these cards fair and square. None of them i've seen are listing 10s of stock. just the odd card here and there. If they choose to make a few quid rather than enjoying their card then why not?

A few people have pre-ordered from multiple places in order to try and get a card fairly quickly. With places like OC refusing to refund postage and some charging restocking, at some point you could be in the same position just trying to move a card on without loss because you end up with 2 or more. I'm pretty sure i will be. If i get one quicker elsewhere i may stay in this queue simply for the watchdogs code and then i'll have an extra card aswell.

My only faint ray of pathetic misplaced optimism with the Eagle is that them holding things back to fix this power connector thing means that they're having more chance to ramp up production, so it might break even from a wait perspective (unless you were at the front of the queue of course, im like 200 odd
Im with you on that one. and hopefully if they've come up with the issues early then be plain sailing when they do finally turn up in their 100's (here's hoping) :D

I just want to echo Space Monkey's comments, we're frustrated with this too.

While some of us are in the queue along with you, a hell of a lot of essentially unnecessary mod activity has had to take place to keep a lid on the justifiably annoyed customers who are boiling over the edges of the forum rules.

I know it's been said, but please remain as polite as possible when venting about this and keep the rules in mind. It's a shame to let your - justified, IMO - annoyance with the situation put the mod team in a position where we have no choice but to take action on your forum account. It really isn't worth losing access to the community.

It is unnecessary. The unfortunate thing is I feel it was even an opportunity to have spun into a positive for the company. Some engagement from staff, less people would complain leaving them time to actually talk to people here a bit. If lack of time is actually the issue. More people see that meaning you get some daft repeated questions, sure, but less angry people as a whole and more people just content with what they *could* have found out here rather than jamming the phones and other lines of support. It could have turned into "Ah, they tried and then they were honest with us, it's not OcUKs fault that nVidia did what it did with this launch".

But that hole keeps getting bigger. We'll be through to the other side of the planet eventually. Don't fall in it :D.

Nope. OCUK haven’t shipped a single strix out yet.

Last I heard they weren’t due stock until late Oct/early Nov.

Damn that's worrying, as on competitor store they have already one review, so they clearly have shipped at least few cards ...

In any way, i wrote e-mail to Asus support to ask about STRIX situation, not giving much hope for now, but who knows, might get lucky with some info. Especially as on ASUS page it shows 3080 STRIX OC as in stock, while non OC version not yet available.

You know... OCUK is behaving like a company that is going to fold and take all of our money with them. I mean why else would you continue to take back orders yet not order/deliver many to customers? Why else maintain almost total radio silence?

Sure they are drip feeding some SKU, but these were probably part of their pre-launch orders, not part of the stock they have ordered post launch based on actual orders?

I mean why else take peoples funds in full (not normal) for a 'pre order' instead of just doing a pre-auth on the funds and then taking the funds on actual despatch (which is actually normal behaviour)

I know this company is really old and been trading for a long time.

However this pandemic & recession does weird and wonderful things to finances.

I personally am starting to see warning signs. I mean there can only be so many explanations for a company to behave this way towards its customers.

I just hope i am wrong and we don't get left high and dry like when an airline/travel agent folds.

Wild conspiracy theory i know.

Pay on credit card (even some debit cards have you covered now) and you're good whatever happens. I don't think they're on the brink by any means. Just a little greedy. Others are struggling to get stock so its not isolated. I wouldn't worry. IF they've ordered a lot of stock and people cancel then that would hurt them but again with the demand i can't see that happening either.

I'm not worried. Just dissapointed by the lack of comms and info being shared with us

People could have a mass protest out OCUK base :D
Social distanced and everything. They will just laugh at you through the windows lmao. Sad but unfortunately true.
