Overclocking and Intel Thermal Velocity Boost

Hey guys,

I am a complete noob to gaming PC's, so please forgive my ignorance about a lot of basic stuff. If I buy a custom gaming PC, can I overclock it safely myself? Or what is Intel Thermal Velocity boost? Is it the same as overclocking the CPU? Can I do use this boost easily to increase the speed of my CPU?

Thermal Velocity boost achieves a higher boost than normal.

Overclocking can reap some benefits but comes with higher temps and cost of decent cooler.

List your system spec please.

Overclocking manually will bring you a higher overclock usually.

Buying an overclocked pc comes at cost just make sure you buy a pc with a decent cooler then you can overclock it yourself.
