There is no point in asking for dm's that company have cleared some queue's but left pre orders closed and any stock they get on the empty queue's they offer to customers in the queue for other types, it's called customer service
 
I was 16th in the queue of the non OC and they had a small surplus of the OC version and have called people in the queue to upgrade. Cost was £30 including Saturday delivery upgrade.

thats not a bad upgrade cost. i ordered mine from overclockers on the 23th since it went up for sale later then the other cards did and i was 4th in que so mine come on the 9th of october my gamble kinda payed off :) the oc version was 20£ more on overclockers then the standard version. 20 pounds turned out to be well spent even if the card is clocked at a whopping 15mhz faster and the OC part on the box is stickers :)

Hopefully will get an ETA from ASUS on the Strix Non-OC soon! (TM?!)
