*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Remember when they said numbers would ramp up towards the end of October.

lol.
They said end of November is when we will the numbers pumping up. I'm sure once we reach end of November they will say it will be in January.

Lost faith that I will be seeing my EVGA card this year.

Cancelled my order for a strix 3080 last week. Placed an order for a PNY with a smaller competitor at the same time. Had a call today saying they have palit in stock and asked if I wanted to swap, I said yes. Arriving tomorrow/Wednesday. The best customer service I've experienced!

it's still only toys so there's no point getting angry but I am feeling a bit miffed at having been fed so many porkies now. If you can't trust any of it surely it would be better to just say nothing.
Toys yes - but for some it's their past time, it's what they do and to be fair sometimes we just want it NOW or we wouldn't have ponied up the cash already.

Gibbo's says he hasn't got time to be on the forums to answer questions or help. But I've looked at his profile today many times and he's been around all day many times on viewing diffent motor and stocks threads. But hey doesn't have time to be here. BS. Also at work working hard trying to get stock lol. But he spends all day most days viewing motors and stocks threads here. Ok buddy.

Who knows maybe OCUK will be the delivery partner for any FE drop this week. As someone suggested up thread I think Nvidia will shift delivery partner to slow down Scalpers and Bots. I might be wrong but you never know.

Hi mate, Yes that was my queue position, 1776 for the TUF non overclock, I was quite late to the party.....

Since cancelling my order, I've had chance to reflect. I reckon Overclockers are probably holding in excess of £5,000,000 worth of back-orders, thats being very conservative, having looked at my order again I realized that I was even charged for postage, £10 for a small parcel costing in excess of £700. I've had washing machines costing less delivered for free, next day. It's a lucrative business alright, Gotta be £2-3000 per month in Interest at a paltry 1/2 % on that kind of money. I know this will be the same for most e-tailers but still think it's shameful of companies to take your money immediately when actual despatch could be months down the line.

I probably sound like a Miser, I only know my money is hard earned via 12 hour shifts and it just didn't sit well with me, hence the cancelation. I'll gladly pay when the product is in stock, Good luck to you all ;)

While I was happy to pre-order back in September, leaving pre-order open for new customers makes no sense. I find it quite dodgy to take people's money, only to inform them that they will be position 1776 in the Asus TUF queue. Another UK retailer has 884 outstanding order for Asus 3080 cards, across all 4 models (down 71 week-on-week) and they're not taking preorders. It looks like these cards will become available elsewhere long before OCUK is able to complete the pre-order queue, unless there are mass cancellations.

Of course, everyone is free to make their own decisions, but if OCUK is leaving pre-orders open, they ought to be transparent about what people sign up for and provide an indication of queue size before new customers pay up.

All been said before over and over again, But I still agree with you and everyone else, Unless thay have confirmation that they will be given thousands for their customers I feel it's criminal

This is called freedom it's under great threat these days, however if you are placing an order for any RTX3080 card and you don't know about the supply situation you are clearly a fool! Everyone knows there's an issue, problem is no one knows when that issue is going to be sorted. Maybe there's a sudden and unexpected shipment of 1000 cards, and OCUK fulfills all its back orders - unlikely but there will come a time when it does.
If you are informed you are 1776 in the queue it is your freedom of choice whether to stay there and hope for a delivery, or to cancel and get your money back. Freedom is an important thing, just because you want something done a certain way does not give you the right to deny that freedom of choice to others.

Why shouldn’t they, OCUKs competitors seem to be sending out all the cards that come in(and even putting excess cards online to buy almost every few days), OCUK either are not very well liked in the distribution world hence the very low numbers or they are keeping a high percentage of cards for “staff” or prebuilt systems to make more profit
Indeed

its morality wrong taking peoples money when you currently already have 1000s of orders that you can’t fulfill and are not likely to complete until the middle of next year, I hope people keep this in their memories TBH

Whereas preventing people from joining a queue and making them fight for the scraps in an F5 lottery is totally OK?

Not likely to forget that alternative either...

Right now the various card suppliers are happily accepting wholesale orders from OCUK and others and they are not saying 'no... don't order there is a limit on total production...'

If the wholesale suppliers are taking the orders there is no reason why OCUK shouldn't let people join a queue.

People are free to leave the queue anytime they want for a full refund...
