*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I'm bitterly, bitterly disappointed about Asus choosing not to produce cards that they have advertised globally and that retailers have offered since launch.

Lying to us on social media just adds to the poison.

I'm not sure whether I've been treated with such disregard in all my years of buying PC hardware.

I am mostly disappointed at OCUK not ASUS. I understand they may not produce as many as their OC versions but the cards DO exist and some people have received them in the US and continental Europe (see nvidia Reddit). The fact that OCUK does not not receive any (and openly state that they won’t get any until way past next year) despite taking pre-orders is what is borderline in my opinion... It would take literally 5 minutes to display this information on the pre-ordering page. Most people don’t bother visiting this forum and even then, the information is not that easy to find within 750 pages...

I had been bitching about my fe card I picked up (very luckily) the other day as it was so loud but, now its a godsend. This wouldn't have been such a bad launch had so many not had needed to sell old gpu's in anticipation of the new or, had the new been plentiful. Nvidia could've been far more transparent about availability than they had been. By doing so consumers could've made informed choices but instead they were treated like cattle and given nothing about availability so trustingly went ahead.

I hope AMD shaft Nvidia as hard as they can. I for one, next launch will go team red out of principle regardless of performance.

I am extremely disappointed with both.

Both have been dishonest and underhanded.

Bloody poor show.

Really? I didn’t read about it being loud.. I thought with those new fans it won’t be, it’s not the old “blower” style of card design anymore.. How disappointing!

Geez seen the benchmarks on YT of Watch D Legion? Even the 3080 is struggling to maintain 40fps on 4k ultra with RTX on, looks like my 2080ti will have to settle for medium settings at 1080p x 2560 with RTX off until my 3080 arrives lol

So basically Asus will not produce any 3080 Non-OC by the end of 2020, right?

Pretty much. Exactly what I predicted several times in this thread (and everytime someone was there to remind me that it's not the case, lol).

Nobody will produce any meaningful volume of non-OC cards when they can just put the OC bios and sell the cards for more money, people will buy them regardless of price anyway.

I know this is the complete wrong thread but couldn’t think of a better place to ask, maybe customer service actually. But does anyone know why there is no msi 3070s on the website? OC seem to be in pretty good contact with MSI so seems strange they don’t have them

They aren't released yet or out for pretend preorder.

I'm not that upset I had to cancel my non OC Tuff order now, yeah it sucks we didn't get official news before today but I was already in two minds over it, the fact I'm watercooling I'm better off with the OC version anyway. I'm just gonna cross my fingers that the rumour of Nvidia flooding the market with stock at the end of this month is true.

I really would love to see AMD pull this off and have enough supply to satisfy demand, but I think it will be the same situation.
Hope leather Jacket man chokes on his ******* spatulas...What a bunch of ***** Nvidia are!
Yes, OCUK's communication could do with some work, but being a partner of Nvidia is even more embarrassing. They have mugged us all off, including OC.

How the world has changed by 'GREED'.

We are all in an unprecedented situation, people dying, lock-down's everywhere, short supplies of goods all around, businesses that have been around for years going to the wall, and many losing their jobs by the day, but all that matters is 'where is my 3080'? You know, my wife was told today, that the sanitary towels she wished to purchase, were 'non-essential' items, so was blocked from buying them, in a supermarket, likewise with toothpaste. What nonsense is that?, but at least she had a real cause to 'moan' about something :) My advice. Do NOT Pre-order anything ATM, more so, not from here, as the world is in turmoil, and who knows what is gonna happen tomorrow, never mind about next month.
