*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Yeh, I think the only way I am getting closer to the front is if people start cancelling orders.

Did you guys here that if you buy Big Navi that you will get a free PS5 with every order. You all better go cancel quick to get in line for that!
Hahaha good job, bro. That guy is so annoying, bragging about how many Asus cards other shop got. 2 weeks no Asus drops in USA ,hard to believe that numbers.

bit late to the game here but have just read about asus basically sidelining the non oc as there hitting there oc levels, what a crock of ol ****, the reason its meeting standards as there wasnt anything it the cards as it stood, forget asus in the future what a 2 bit company well i hope people remember this next time they need a motherboard and such i know i will.

Ouch, thank god I always order the OC versions of cards. So the info I got 2 weeks ago I got banned for where my mate works in warehouse for a very popular high street electrical company was right. That everything they had listed to come this year was removed by ASUS for non OC cards. I was banned over a week ago for trying to let people know they are not coming this year at all. Originally on there systems it listed them as Discontinued. But recently I was told all there ASUS NON OC cards now have a due date of delivery 2021. It doesn't even give a month.

Glad I bought the OC version of Asus card. I'm in top 10. With OCUK that could still be 4 more weeks for me. Crazy.

Glad Gibbo came on and spoke to a few people. I missed out speaking to him and didn't get any info I wanted. But happy to see him communicating with others.

FYI that place I spoke of the high street store. My mate works at the main warehouse that get shipments from over seas and then his job is to split it up send to other smaller warehouses of stores that have large warehouse space on site.

The card he ordered was a Gigabyte the one with the screen in the side. Not sure which that is. But he said they have a, if I use Gibbo's terminology a "Dream" X2 shipment worth on 2nd of November and they should be going live 5th November. All models too. Also some are going into stores too but very small amount.
Did you mean Dream x2 amount of the Gigabyte card with the screen on the side ? My precious Master :p

How the world has changed by 'GREED'.

We are all in an unprecedented situation, people dying, lock-down's everywhere, short supplies of goods all around, businesses that have been around for years going to the wall, and many losing their jobs by the day, but all that matters is 'where is my 3080'? You know, my wife was told today, that the sanitary towels she wished to purchase, were 'non-essential' items, so was blocked from buying them, in a supermarket, likewise with toothpaste. What nonsense is that?, but at least she had a real cause to 'moan' about something :) My advice. Do NOT Pre-order anything ATM, more so, not from here, as the world is in turmoil, and who knows what is gonna happen tomorrow, never mind about next month.

yes, i agree, tomorrow could be a day where like the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction, also known as the K-T event could be unleashed at any moment, imagine a rock the size of mount Everest, smashing down on our planet at 45 thousand mph, it happened at least 3-4 time over the past few billion years, last time was 65 million years ago, when the rock made contact with the earths crust, the
top part of the meteor was still as high as a airliner flies, 30 thousand feet in the air, thats how massive it was, it then created a crater over 100 miles in diameter and many miles deep, the ejector of molten rock ash and dust inundated our atmosphere and blocked the sun, this wiped out 70% of life from the planet, they say the tsunamis and earth quakes and worldwide fires from molten rock raining down eradicated life in the 1st six hours, then a global winter lasting decades finish off the rest of life, what survived were mammals, which led to humans and then the 3080.

so those of you who ordered a 3080 and are waiting, the above 2 quotes should help alleviate some of the stress.

I totally agree with you, however, what annoys me is the lack of communication. Not necessarily from OC, but Nvidia with their NDA's....probably preventing Gibbo from saying too much weeks ago. A little bit more honesty earlier on wouldn't have gone amiss. The only reason more info is being provided now is damage control after a complete **** show of a launch.
This is after all a forum about graphics cards, not covid or sanitary towels! I'm sure your wife will find some tomorrow if she hasn't already done so.

So I just cancelled my strix non oc 3080 so least people will move one more place up the queue. The fact they have not received any at all and asus saying they are prioritising the OC cards is not great for customers.
Will just hold and see what AMD does or go with a different company that is shipping different brands of cards

Yeah it's a joke isn't it. I didn't order the Asus, but feel sorry for everyone who did. The card gets good reviews, they undervalued it, so to the back of the queue you go!

I agree, completely.

Which is why I need a 3080, so I can escape this nightmare run by balloons in suits, eating all the pies.
Its the little comfort I can find at the moment, don't take that away from me

I've been trying to start some discourse on this the past few weeks.

People are quick to point the finger at Retailers like OCUK and Board Partners like ASUS - communication ideally would be better but it's likely limited for reasons beyond their control. An NDA from Nvidia seems entirely plausible.

The bottom line is that Board Partners aren't getting the components they need to manufacture the cards and Nvidia would have known this from before the product launched. The lack of supply is entirely Nvidia's fault and I suspect the poor communication is down to them restricting what retailers are allowed to tell us.

Unfortunately I don't think there's anything Board Partners, Distributors or Retailers can do to fix this. It's ultimately up to consumers to reject this behavior, vote with their wallets and hope things change for the better in the future.
