*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

This.

Or at least put a message up front with rough numbers and a rough wait time etc. Newbies won't know the situation and will just add one to basket and pay, not knowing what's going on. Then you will lose a future repeat customer.

Agree with this, just to stop you getting hammered on trust pilot and the likes. Not everyone will view the forums know that they are here or be able to keep up to date with the 1000s of daily posts.

It might be said that it is not the information in and of itself, but the way in which it is presented. There is a lot of talk about a competitors table which as I keep saying does not give very much information despite people mistakenly thinking it does, however it is incredibly easy to read and also to find the historical data about what actually has been shipped.
It might be worth producing such a table if only to placate certain people who seem to believe it is the font of all knowledge !

Our guys have done similar but also link back here, they are aware of what others are doing and I am sure they are also working on stuff, customer get queue positions emails when their position changes now and a blanket one every Friday so things are improving, but unfortunately nothing happens overnight.

My job is sourcing stock and I post the info when I get it here, I've missed a couple but generally all info is passed on but it is extremely busy times for myself with NV launches, AMD launches and managing components plus preparing for Black Friday etc. so I do what I can do within my power which is post on the forums.

We have left ordering open on cards with shipments coming though albeit very small so people still have the option if they wish, yes we will look into putting a warning on all cards about supply being extremely poor and fresh orders not looking good for this side of XMAS on some brands. However removing the ability to order does not help customers, removing the order button just means people sit pressing F5 or when a card goes into stock there would be a potential mad rush to order causing greater issues, order buttons were however removed from cards where supply was looking very thin with no firm ETAs.

Simple fact is we cannot please everyone were doing what we can but right now our upmost and my priority is finding stock and also getting stock on new upcoming launches and preparing those launches.

I keep saying it but patience is key and those who patience have run out you can cancel your order at any time and easily.

If the situation is as bad as what Gibbo is saying then why take on more pre-orders when the current backlog can't be fulfilled ?

I agree that there will be a mad rush however I disagree that it does not help customers. Being able to move them to a different model will allow them to get a card faster. I think many people at this stage don't specifically care which card they get as long as they can get it soon.

I dont know if Paypal/ the other payment services still continue to charge the seller for transaction fee if it was cancelled. This would be my concern as there is a large backlog with many people ready to jump ship towards greener pastures (Not saying they wont be in the same boat when they get there).

Hi Gibbo, it seems so far that literally everyone has been given an update, even if it's depressing, except us Zotac Trinity 3080 non-OC pre-order folk. Is there any information at all, even if its just your intuition?

So sounds like shouldn't be long until X3 arrives and now I'm 43 in queue should get my card this shipment. Holding out hope means I get card next week.

I just read Gibbo's latest update regarding the Asus TUF.

I'm not waiting on either model personally but thought It would be a nice gesture from Asus if they were to send out OC level binned chips to those that have been waiting patiently for their non OC variant.

I know we live in a world where profit is king but due to Asus being fortunate enough to receive larger levels of high binning chips, non OC buyers are now being penalised and having to wait for a buildup of poorer performing stock. I feel for you guys :(

@Gibbo on the eagles, you said an okay amount, can you elaborate is it just 50 still or is it more? I find it strange that gigabyte wasn't able to send out any for 2 weeks and only has 50 of them for here

I ised the same for my TUF non OC originally, then asked to change to a Palit and was told no as it messes up their queue, so if i wanted to change id have to cancel and re apply on finance again at detriment to my credit rating. Ive actually cancelled and used my 0% credit card but its still left a mark on my credit rating obviously.
Yeah was thinking that, I probably will stay where I am... 310 at last call. Just 3 dream shipments away....

Zotac are preparing a shipment end of this week, once they inform me what they are sending I shall let you guys know. Zotac have a huge open PO with us so some stock arrives without notification as its just how they work with ourselves with us being a direct customer with them so they simply let stock build up to several cartons and then ship them all at once because for obvious reason they do not just ship one carton from Hong Kong otherwise the air freight becomes quite expensive for them.

Whats mad is that Asus are binning chips on an already expensive model.....I can understand people paying the extra £30-£40 for a Bios that has the OC in place, but waiting for dud Chips, so you can offer a product that is more expensive than the FE is ridiculous....even more so when these duds arent coming in, so you dont bother making any!

I second this.

We asked, the problem is OcUK sold 5000+ cards pretty much within the first hour of launch, so the promo had ended literally within minutes and the fact is NVIDIA only probably have a small handful of spare codes as they sent us 1000 initially but as we sold thousands within minutes the promo was over before it started, plus the fact the redemption period I also believe ends very soon.
