*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I have been in the same boat pal. I decided to switch to TUF OC queue as soon as rumors appeared and told others to do so before the *********...well...I did and I was lucky however I was made to cancel my TUF non-OC which means I had to spend another £700+ to order TUF OC asap...while waiting for refund for the other one. Why should you be treated better in anyway if others weren't ?

I feel for you mate, but we shouldn't ever stop trying to make the future better because of the mistakes of the past

So I am penalised because I ordered TUF no OC and these cards are not even made , yet OC still takes pre orders for them? WTF is going on. Everyone who ordered no OC should BE OFFERED FREE UPGRADE TO OC AND KEEP THEIR PLACE IN A QUEUE. I AM LIVID. MAKE THIS HAPPEN OCUK.

OC are caught between a rock and a hard place here. I disagree on free upgrade, I'd personally like the option to upgrade and keep queue position - I'm sure most non-OC's would. However, that would anger everyone in the OC queue, and I can completely understand that too, imagine being 40th in the queue right now and me and 10 others in the top 40 switch, and then OCUK gets 45 cards... I'd be livid if that happened to me.

Then again OCUK told me when I originally switched to this that they were receiving a shipment of non-OCs the following day, which is what confirmed me on non-OC instead of OC - had he said they were getting OCs the following day (which was the actual case) I'd of gone for that instead and be long gone from this thread...

Just cancelled my Tuf non OC. I enquired about switching to a KFA SG and was happy to join the back of the queue but I wasn't happy to pay another 30 quid more for a lesser card and still no ETA on delivery. Im out.

Pretty sure I won't be using OcUk again after this experience :(

so you already switch twice then so definitely no

I think an ethical&pragmatic option is to let non-OC Qers side-step into the OC-Tuf Q as&when Qers there cancel their order(and pay the difference of course, I'm not asking for a free lunch).
* Pre-existing OC-Tuf Qers behind the canceller aren't going backwards in the Q.
* OC would be lauded for looking after their existing customers as opposed to telling them to cancel and join the very back of some other Q, which is really unfair to those that made the effort to order very close to launch date, putting their faith in OC.

I have sympathy because I almost went non-OC (chose OC for a shorter queue), but the idea of waiting in a queue and then watching people enter ahead of you - although you'd argue sidestepping - doesn't seem fair at all. The issue is you make it so the Non-OC buyer now feels rewarded for their loyalty and compensated for their situation while the OC customer is held back and now get to watch a dozen other queues going faster. Asus have screwed over Non-OC, but you're asking OCUK to screw over OC customers to make up for it.

I'm waiting for the FE everyday mate, nothing special about today lol! Sold my vega 56 for funds for the 3080 so would like one asap. Like I say, would prefer the ichill x3, but got no idea when the shipment after this one comes in, could be weeks or months, its the not having a clue that gets me.

Ahhh. No worries! I prefer the FE but I just haven't seen any land since launch. The whole situation is an utter joke. But I've now got one eye on the AMD cards and may switch to them when they launch.

I’m keeping my non oc order in until Friday just so I get an update email as I’m nosey to how many people in front of me (203) decided hell naw and bailed.

Forgot to add... I think OcUk need to recognise not only the loss of sales from this debacle but also the loss of future sales is a hidden cost. Once burned twice shy.

So it sounds like AIB's are kinda scalping the products but not on the level that MSI were doing it. So shady.
Or OCUK doesn't have any good relationships with Nvidia, AIB nor distribution centre that they said they had.
Dunno. I just don't see it as one sided problem. Especially when OC still takes pre-orders on cards that are "allegedly" not even produced.

I'm 1002 in the non OC TUF queue as of Friday so there is no hope of me getting a card this year it seems. What an absolutely ridiculous situation!

I agree but only if it is fair to everyone else and I don't think that OC queue would be happy to embrace "new friends" among those already waiting for so long knowing their queue positions are going to change significantly. What about EVGA orders or KFA2? Maybe let's invite those to TUF OC as a free upgrade? There are some limits. Everybody made their choice.
I have ordered card from competitor on 17th and cancelled it few days later thinking OCUK is going to have them way quicker, if I only knew how wrong I was...my mistake and I don't blame anybody else. They allowed some card switching before and that didn't go well...it has been stopped and should not come back otherwise there will be more cancellations than bussiness out of it.

I'm 1329 in Queue for the same card. I'll just go with AMD at this point. If there are not enough Big Navi cards I'll just buy an RTX 2080 Super. I don't care about 4k, and the 2080 super run fine in 1440p, but I need a good GPU for work.

So are we going to see the start of the wave of cancellations of 3080s this week with the 2070 reviews out?
3070 looking like it really does match up to the 2080ti. More than enough for most people's needs for £200 less.

"allegedly" not even produced.

Where have you been all month? Hardly anything has been produced. All cards worldwide wouldn't cover even just Switzerlands demand.

And it's entirely our choice if we want to park our money in a queue, play hunger games for tiny drops or just wait until the cards are made and available. All options are totally frustrating.

According to new Gibbos update, it doesn't look good to me anyway. They send 40pcs over last 6 weeks? I understand is not OCUK fault, but is still frustrating when you are on 935 position. I had to make decision anf buy another gpu that cost me almost £300 to be able to play anything. I had option to cancel the order and order more popular card, but prices went up and take last place in queue. So what is the point?. If someone from Asus will read that post I want to say THANK YOU for OC card you priority.
