Makes sense as all next gen consoles with RDNA2 have 16GB vram, and the fact a Ryzen 5000 has direct access to GPU memory removes one of the largest barriers in pc gaming hardware currently.

No they have 16GB total system memory, not 16GB VRAM.

They left a gap for a 3070Ti 16GB at $599 imo, that'll outsell AMD 8:2 as usual.

6900XT is only overpriced because you can't afford it.

Its trading blows with a GPU which 50% more expensive than it.
Don't get me wrong, I can't afford the 6900XT either but lets not be bitter. They priced well on that card which is easily the pick of the bunch compared to NVIDIA's offerings.

3080TI will be incoming now. NVIDIA can't wait too long.

Personally I think Nvidia got off lightly had that 6900 come in cheaper say £800 they would be in a ton trouble, I think AMD have priced the 6800 XT a bit too close to the 3080 but thats just my opinion. Good to see the competition finally very happy about that

I tend to buy direct if at all possible especially as AIBs just seem an extra £200 for a brand name these days.

From a quick read the 6800xt is to rival the 3080? Damn... How do we expect it to perform alongside a 2700 (non x) or would I need to look at a CPU upgrade aswell?
