*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Is it though? It seems to be performing marginally better than a 3090 (non-third party benchmarks mind you) and it's got 8GB less VRAM (also GDDR6 not GDDR6X), which is a huge buzzkill for a $1000 GPU.

The Asus Rog Strix 3080 is £870. The 6900xt will be roughly £850 after a little tax added on. This means that the card which they put against the 3090 and beats it in some cases is around the same price as a aftermarket 3080...

Stability with nvidia or take a punt at amd never know there drivers may work this time
I can see the 6800 XT starting at over £800 here, and precious little mention of raytracing performance. Seems like a bad deal tbh
Honestly, the specs of the 6800xt look quite good but I'm thinking to stay aswell.
I'm already in this **** and I kinda don't want to join another one a month later

Everyone should switch to AMD now. Especially those who ordered an MSI gaming. Unfortunately I can't switch myself as I use my computer for design as well as gaming so I need the cuda cores, but I would switch if I could....honestly ;)

Well, here's hoping that this will get NVidia to kick its *** into gear. If the chances I'll get my 3080 in reasonable time will still be looking slim in late Nov - I might just continue to ride the Team Red train.

Thanks. I wasn't concentrating, clearly. Still, UK price is usually considerably higher. £750-800 or thereabouts, I'd guess.

That's not how it went for the 3800 prices. It should (emphasis on should) be about £625. Whether anywhere actually sells one for that price is another matter.

Yeah, it's definitely bringing a lot of power for your money. I find it crazy how prices of a 3080 can get up to 3090 MSRP sometimes. Official retailers putting scalpers to shame.
