*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Well the Pro Headmount from MVH Studios arrived and it's great.

As comfortable as my Rift S.
More comfortable than the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap, though I've only tried this on the Quest 1.

Incredibly adjustable, even comes with a USB-C cable for the battery. Not sure what margin he's getting on these but for £19 it p*sses on anything else.

Mine has arrived too, setup a thread for reviews of accessories. Just got to find something to act as a counterweight. How do you find the rear tightening? Is your head big enough? Mine head seems a little small.

You can dial it back a lot, you can also adjust the width on both of the top straps.

Out of interest, has anyone here bought the fit pack? And if so, is it because they have a big noggin? I'd be interested in buying the narrow fit facepiece, but don't really want to buy the whole fit pack, when I know it'll be the narrow one I need.

Good stuff - does it remove the excess pressure you get on your face with the original straps.

Sounds great - is there any difference in the powerbank models he has specced - can get the Anker 10000 for 14 quid, but the redux ones are a tenner more.

Think there's a difference in how much power they can deliver, and the sockets they use (as well as some difference in size and weight). From what I've read, you want at least 2.4A power delivery.

I can't remember which one I ordered, they sent me the STL file they used for the battery so I'm going to alter it for my RAVPower bank.

Nice, my DIY skills are terrible so I am not sure I could even attempt something like this.

I was thinking of getting powercore one, will that be ok?

They're all powercore ones I think? I think Anker tend to be good quality, and likely all capable.

I've just attached the 20mah powerbank I have onto the back of this, using some velcro cable ties I had left over. Not perfect, and a bit heavier than a 10000mah would be, but it charges the headset, which is good by me, and it's not taken from the comfort. Now I just need an opportunity to play :D.

Oddly enough I don't plan on wearing it much in public :D. I really don't care how I look, as long as I'm comfortable :D.

:D:D:D

Can you have it so the headset is pulled really tight towards your face? The crappy strap has far too much wobble for my liking.
I want it so it's almost going to crack my skull in half....like, really tight.

You can, but there's no need, the weight is taken by the halo part of the strap. I have mine reasonably close up to my face. The guy who makes them says somewhere that on his quest 1, he used to remove the facial interface and have it really close to his face, and just use low light level to prevent bleed (in effect increasing the FOV).

I'm having trouble with oculus support over the slightly dim line down the middle of the right display. They asked me to take a photo of it, I told them it would be impossible to get a photo of the screen through the lens. They said try rebooting the headset ( pointless as I turn it off all the time ). They said factory reset it. I've done that just to prove that's a waste of time. Now they've asked for a photo again. I swear they're using untrained customer support people with canned responses.

Does anyone know what type of backlight the quest 2 lcd screen uses?
