*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

There was £700 EVGAs up the other day. I got a 3080 FE the minute it became available last week thanks to the NVIDIA discord. A link was posted that allowed a lot of people to bypass the NVIDIA website altogether.
Ye thats what screved ME over....

Wanna hear my Sunday morning tin foil hat theory? :D

[tinfoil] I think they have sold a LOT of cards at the original price, my Eagle was sold at £649 for example. I think that they had only secured a small number at that price, but were unable to change it on the website fast enough because of the issues. So....I think that is not too much of a stretch to imagine that they are going to lose a lot of money on those first round of cards that they have to sell at retail, although they are going to have to pay a higher price for. So either their margin will be obliterated - or in the worst case, lose money.

And this is where the tin hat bit comes in.....what would happen if you delayed those cards so much that people lost patience and cancelled them? New orders would then be at the adjusted price.... Hmmmmm

I am sure that this is all fiction in my head - but with the purposeful shroud of mist over any meaningful information....people are going to speculate as to why OCUK seem to be so inept. [/tinfoil]

Honestly from what I saw on Discord before I left and what I've seen from others since, they do want us to cancel. So I'd say there's a good possibility of truth to this.

Have you joined the nvidia discord now? I'm not making that mistake again...

I'm a bit confused here because I just got an email from [email protected] saying "Congrats! It's Yours: GeForce RTX 3080. Share the news or a picture of your new GPU with the community using #UltimateUpgrade. We’ll be sharing our favorites from the official GeForce social channels. #UltimateUpgrade"

I did enter a sweepstakes on Nvidia's FB page, but this seems a little too good to be true. There's literally no other info attached to this. Did everyone else receive this too?

I have pre-ordered inno x3. 44 in queue. i need another card. Don't mind next year, but msi or asus would come faster?

If and it's a big if, Inno ever do ship any X3 and X4 RTX3080 cards you would probably be best advised to order another one, however as to date they haven't shipped a single one of them since launch dates despite promises they were on thier way here.

You do realise OC is part of the
CASEKING GROUP https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sell-to-caseking-group

Yep, lots of posts on here about case king being the parent company. Point is caseking seem to be getting stock and OC don’t. Caseking have MSI Gaming 3090’s in stock but OC are still clearing backlog. As they are the same company why don’t they use stick from one to clear backlog at the other?
