*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Although I ended up ordering my card elsewhere (I got to the checkout quicker there than here) I've been following progress in both places in an attempt to "triangulate" on when I might get my Strix 3090 OC delivered. My observation to date is that there is a good correlation (for Asus at least) between deliveries to OCUK and the other place, both in terms of dates and numbers (as observed by people sharing queue positions etc.). I've recently had an update on my queue position and I've also been given an ETA for when I should get my card delivered, which I'll share here in case it's helpful for others waiting on the Strix 3090 OC - which is that I'm #17 in the queue with an ETA of 20/Nov (I assume 2020!). HTH.
I’m 9th and I had the same email with ETA of the 20/Nov too. Seems like there’s a 2 week delay in between strix deliveries.

The last update on Strix 3090 OC was last tuesday so I'm hoping for another today. 8th in line hoping this week is the week I can rub my card in the "haha they don't exist" crowds face

Tbf to ocuk, the other retailers only have TBC for Asus cards when they have dates this week for all the other brands. Looks like Asus might not be shipping any this week to the UK.

I was 500th on October 24th when I placed my order (no update ever since) FMR?!

So everyone or at least the vast majority (understandably) are discussing the Strix oc, but any idea please for the TUF OC ? Apart from the email a week ago (which only moved my queue number by 1 place...) I haven’t seen any info

I think asus are just putting all their chips into 3090 oc strix cause they get more money for them.,

I know it's a bit TUF for you at the moment :)
But hang in there....

Just so I clear this up, the only reason I chose the TUF OC is because it’s the best 3090 I can reasonably fit in my ITX. I had bought an EVGA 3090 XC3 Ultra which also fits but I sold it on immediately after receiving it since it was clock and power limited (hardware limit).
And no I didn’t sell it for profit, in fact I sold it at the exact retail price I bought it for since anything different is unethical in my book.

I think a little over retail is ok say card is £1500 but it cost me £10 on top for postage and then costs me another £10 to send it out I think £1520 is still reasonable to cover costs.
Maybe I’m the outlier.

I had a 3090 ventus arrive from somewhere else whilst I'm still waiting for a card from ocuk to be in stock as I want a card with 3power connectors to push the overclocks.
It's fine it just doesn't overclock particularly well (the bios it comes with prevents increasing power so I get to about 1870Mhz and +680memory clock). There is no coil whine and card stays cool. Pretty quiet in standard operation.

So now I need to work out if it is worth hanging on to, then selling for a loss later when I get the card I want (strix, ftw, trio, xtreme). Now I have 14days to decide to send it back, or if not I'll have to then go through the hassle of selling it...urgh decisions decisions!
It cost 1650 which I'm sure is above what it should normally cost.

What would you do?
