I believe you do yes, as above though not 2.1 compatible but now I've seen 1440p isn't coming I'll probably just get a better 1080 144hz monitor which I'm led to believe is capable via 2.0.

The money for full 4k monitors and 120+Hz is insane

Supermarket walk in on launch day? Nope.

‘In the interest of keeping our gamers, retailers, and staff safe amidst COVID-19, today we are confirming that all day-of launch sales will be conducted through the online stores of our retail partners’, reads a short note on the official PlayStation blog.

‘Please don’t plan on camping out or lining up at your local retailer on launch day in hopes of finding a PS5 console for purchase. Be safe, stay home, and place your order online.’

It'll be interesting to see if all retailers tow the line on this.
As far as Sony are concerned, pre-sales only at launch and any additional stock needs to be purchased online, click & collect.
Retailers were also supposed to wait before releasing pre-orders back in September, so Sony doesn't exactly have a good record keeping retailers in check.

Amazon have reportedly moved the accessories and controller/games the November the 12th. - In line with the US release.

Yet the console remains on the 19th. Is it me, or is that just odd?

I've had the 12th November for around 6 weeks as a delivery date for a PS5 headset

Makes sense, consoles aren't exactly "essential" shopping.

And if asda etc did have stock at midnight could you imagine the queues, which in this time of lockdown just doesn't seem a good idea.

I'm still trying to get hold of the headset and charging starting, hopefully around launch there'll be some more stock incoming.

Sorry if covered but is there any confirmation of bringing the console forward to the 12th? Seems odd to get all the accessories and games delivered on 12th and console a week later

No it's never even been more than a baseless reddit or twitter rumour

Good job you can still buy games on disc. Buy for cheaper, sell/trade when done = quite a saving over digital.

Exactly. I bought Watch Dogs: Legions for £42 with a free steel book, sold the Steel Book for £15 on Ebay and the game to CEX for £36 after i completed.

Amazon sneakily have moved my delivery date to 20th rather than 19th...
No e-mail, nothing.
Only noticed due to checking the app, contacted LC they tell me it must be due to the delivery provider...I call BS.
