A wee bit disappointed that the "Quick Resume" on PS5 is exactly the same on PS4. But I'd rather have that than the buggy implementation that the Xbox is currently experiencing.

The speed of the SSD will make this a non-issue anyway. I'm quite happy to use quick resume in the same way I do now.

See my edit. As I suspected, load times are in the seconds region. Who needs quick resume when the game loads in 10 seconds?

That might only apply to PS5 games though. PS4 games will still have to put up with unskippable splash screens and menus slowing everything down. Admittedly as time goes on, this will not be a big problem as there will be more PS5 stuff to play.

Ha. I managed to read the console review - pretty positive! Guess I'll try again later. It's a terrible website but their game reviews and interviews are really quite good.

It places me in such a quandary now. It seems like the DualSense really is the second best thing about next gen (first being the SSDs). So why wouldn't I want to play all the multiplatform games on PS5 using that spiffy controller? And if that is the case, why do I need to buy an Xbox Series X when I could still play all the new, exclusive Xbox games on my PC, albeit at 1080p. Eeek. I'm going to have to wait for the multiplatform game reviews to decide. Although right now, I can see myself being quite happy playing the PS5 versions with the DualSense and the Pulse 3D headphones.

I got a confession to make too, we're all friends here so don't judge me. I never actually cancelled my Series X order. I am just going to keep it unopened until such a time when there is something to play on it.
