Hey guys. Just need some advice

Wednesday morning 12:30am was on the M25. Empty stretch so decided to speed up to 120 but didnt see the damn camera and got flashed. Absolutely bricked myself, no reason for me to be doing this speed and I admit my fault so please dont get at me you keyboard warriors :)

Have been keeping my eyes out for the postman, so far no speeding ticket. Have read around forums, have seen some people top a tonne, get flashed and get away with it. Any idea, or does it look like im getting a ban?

Thanks

lolz. Get the soap ready!

On a serious notes, 120 on the speedo will be more like 112 or so IRL. Still a ban, surely?

I have digital speedo so fairly accurate maybe 2 or 3mph off. And yeah if i do get caught looks like a ban or 6 points minimum.

On a side note, i was so far ahead when the camera flashed the lorrys on the left looked like a spec of dust. Have read on pepipoo of someone doing 100 and getting away with it so holding hopes

They have 14 days to send it to you. Iirc I received mine on the 12th day or something close to the time. You might have plenty of time to enjoy your nervous postman watching for the next couple of weeks:D

I hope nobody's dad decided to pull out in front of you to overtake a slow car in lane 2?!

I had a similar situation about 15 years ago... doing 120 pretty much all the way down the M4 to pick someone up from the airport in my mum's car (was only 20 at the time, didn't have my own).

A week letter I get a call from her "got a letter from the police here waiting for you...". Cue me ****ing my pants.

Turns out it was for doing 53 in a short stretch of 40mph roadworks! :D Never been so relieved - certainly learned my lesson and stuck to the limit since.

I'd say at 120 it's ban though...

Yeah i think it is a ban. They recently toughened up speeding measures so looks like im in the bin if i do get caught.

Nervous wait > Court summons > Ban.

Out of interest, what was it OP, that made you join a computing forum to post about a motoring issue? Genuinely curious.

Quality first post on the forums.
Haha guys like 200sols really let the mood down lmao

Seen a few posts about m25 cameras here so thought id join in the fun haha. love my computers too though xD

I thought the average speed camera's were only active on M25 when the speed signs were showing?

It was a normal HADECS 3 speed camera unfortunately

I was told by a friend who worked as an engineer (which included the maintenance of some of these systems) that the cameras will still trip at 85MPH even when the signs are off.

Ban, suspended sentence, community service. Unless the judge is in a bad mood then lube up in anticipation of sharing a cell with Bubba.
Speeding is bad m'kay.
