It's basically silent, my PS4 Pro was offensively loud so it's a huge improvement!

Download speeds seem to be much much faster as well, I'm on 1Gb fibre and getting speeds 4-5 times faster than before.

Does it show you an estimate of the transfer speed in the UI or can you guess from the changing numbers? On my new series S it is pumping 600MBps, which is my actual line speed as well. The PS4 Pro barely pushes 200MBPs on the same line. Just curious where in between these 2 the PS5 will sit, in terms of speeds! PS3 and PS4 never maximized my connection, although it was always hard to know if it was a throttling/bandwidth restriction from their end, or an artificial limit from the console side.

Can you manage downloads? i.e. tell it to only download 1 thing at a time?

That was a gripe of mine with the PS4, the stupid console trying to download 4 things at once instead of just focusing on 1.

Just had an availability alert to say Amazon now have the 3D Pulse Headset in stock! But, the link diverts to the Wireless controller??

Even searching for the headset it diverts, anyone else the same?

I got that alert - I hit the site immediately and there were 2 available from a 3rd party seller at £199.
I dropped Amazon UK Twitter a line saying that when I sign up for stock alerts I don't expect to be alerted to price gouging scum 3rd party sellers trying to rip me off - no response yet

Having to watch my phone for a text from the bank saying there's been a large payment trying to go out and they've stopped it. PITA. Phoned the bank and they said they can't authorise it before hand so I'll have to just watch for a text in case this happens. Hope Smyth's doesn't cancel my pre-order because of this. Got an email yesterday saying they'll try to authorise it in the next week.
