Having a issues with my computer typing number 7 constantly

It often does it as soon as you boot to the windows screen but not allways sometimes it takes a few mins before it starts
Tired 2 keyboards
Removing all usb Device's booting into safe mode
Removed gpu and front panel usb connection
Still does it

Reset bios to defaults and it was still doing in there as well

Only issue I can think of now is a motherboard issue

It's a asrock z370 extreme 4 with Intel i5 8600k ( I think anyway )

Anybody else have any suggestions as what to try?

Reinstall of keyboard drivers??

I had it a few months back but can't remember how I fixed it. I couldn't get into windows as it wa adding a keystroke to the login screen

It does it without a keyboard or any usb device connected
As well as in the bios so can't by a driver issue

I have heard of this before. I don't know the solution though. It is a Windows issue. Try looking in ease of access, keyboard. I am not sure what you should be looking for but....

Sounds very strange, given it's occurring in BIOS too.
And, it's occurring in BIOS also without the keyboard connected? (although, I'm guessing you have to connect it to get into the BIOS in the first place.....)
Does it stop in the BIOS after the keyboard is unplugged?

And there's no USB wireless receivers plugged in at all?

If it's doing it in BIOS, hard to see how it's Windows related.
I can't see what other hardware could be causing it though other than a keyboard.

Right...that’s very bizarre. One can explain if a keyboard is plugged in and 7 is inputted. But not with no keyboard plugged in.

Nope still happens after removing the keyboard in the bios and that's with no usb Device's connected at all

Going to try taking motherboard out in the morning and giving it a check over

Nope removed motherboard and nothing obvious wrong such as something behind the board shorting it out even removed HDDs and still the same issues

So you unplugged keyboard, and I could see more 7s being entered.
You had the mouse plugged in still, but I'm assuming you've tried unplugging the mouse and it still does it?

Yes it still does it as well if the mouse was never plugged in from start up
Can't test in the bios with the keyboard never having been plugged in but it does it on the windows login screen with it upplugged from boot and also with 2 different keyboards

So it's looking like either a CPU motherboard case or psu issues
And I think CPU and case are unlikely

Not sure what else you could try.

Disconnect all hard drives from both motherboard and PSU.
Disconnect absolutely everything you can from PSU.
Disconnect absolutely everything you can from Mobo.
Remove all RAM bar 1 stick?
Remove all PCI cards bar video.

No idea why that would help, but you'll have to do it anyway if it's the mobo that's bust.
