ASUS B550-F issues

Hi

Having some strange issues with my new build. Sometimes when I boot up my pc and log in the mouse drag and scroll option using the middle mouse click button wont work. This is accompanied with the volume/media overlay getting stuck on screen if i press a media key, Video stuttering (won't play just stuttering at the start) if i try to play any video file saved on my pc. this only happens using the default film and tv app and plays fine using any other media player. And I can't right click on apps and files for options.

I have no problem using the pc while this is happening and can still play games, watch movies ands other things.

A restart always fixes it and everything goes back to working as it should.

I have tried a clean install of windows but it did not fix it, a different bios version but that did not solve the issue and i have tried a different mouse.

I did unplug the mouse once and put it in the front usb port on my case and it fixed it but have done this again a few times with no luck. This led me to think it was a mouse driver issue but i have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, updated firmware. uninstalled software, tried another mouse but still have the problem.

(Edit: Seems that when i unplugged my usb microphone from the back panel and replugged my mouse fixes the issue.) I wonder what is causing this, could it be psu related?

Also the pc sometimes won't wake from sleep. The fans will spin but I have to restart the pc. This does not happen every time and I don't know if it's related.

The psu is a 6 year old be quiet so I might replace that to see if it solves it.

It probsblly just a compatability issue and doubt it would be the psu.

Probably something at the usb header. Interference or bad usb hub.

Not sure now the pc just turned itself off and rebooted.

Sounds like a similar problem I'm having with my X470F. I was hoping to get a B550-f to replace it but it seems that's not going to fix it at all. I think it's something to do with the USB's. It seems like too many USB devices plugged in and it causes my PC to freeze up completely or not boot.

Seems they are rolling out a lot of Beta bios updates at the moment. A lot of people seem to be having issues with usb ports and memory overclocking with the B550-F. I had a Asus maximus ranger vii for years with no problems and decided to go with Asus again but it seems standards have slipped big time. I'm considering swapping to the MSI tomahawk. For the money I just want a system that works.

I had my computer randomly shut down once with this board but i think it was down to Windows, im also on a beta bios.

Ye so OP... just had this happen, did yours go off completely and the aura light stay on and power button not work?
