*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

From my understanding though said competitor does still have over 2,000 pre-orders to fill, with just 181 cards incoming this week, so even though the communication is better the outlook is still bleak

come 3080ti in January i think there will be a lot on the second hand market :D
If the 3080ti ends up just being a slightly cut down 3090 it probably won't be worth buying over a 3080, unless Nvidia decides to give all those 3090 owners an apocalyptic case of buyers remorse, but I'm sure they would never do such a thing oh no.

Where as OC has more than one card with a queue over 2000 for just that one card, not a total for all cards.

Their situation is very different:
  1. 2,000 unfulfilled pre-orders for all 3080s is peanuts compared to OCUK. OCUK have far more than 2,000 unfulfilled pre-orders for several individual brands.
  2. Some of the 2,000 pre-orders are new because they shipped all the orders for some cards.
  3. The competitor you are talking about shipped 540 cards last week. They seem capable of meeting the orders they accepted.
  4. They provide the data and they are transparent about shipments and unfulfilled orders.

Too busy picking out new Ferrari’s probably
To be fair, OC are taking a full on beating in just about any Reddit thread that talks about stock and where to buy hardware both /AMD and /Nvidia, haven't seen one positive comment for a while now while said competitions getting plenty of praise, most review sites including OC Facebooks got not much good to be said either.
What's all started out a bit meme is ending in long term poor optics.

If and it's a big if the 3080Ti is ever released it's going to be well over £1000 . The only difference between the 3090 and the rumoured 3080Ti is 4GB of GDDR 6x Where do you think the saving is going to come from because all I see is Nvidia realising it can make more 3090 chips than it can sell at the ludicrous price and offering a slightly cheaper board which will satisfy those who can't get a 3080 and won't pay for the 3090, while they make even more money.

Can anybody explain to me why ocuk has not received any kfa2 3080s yet? but have received 3070s the whole situation is making me so depressed and seeing as I suffer from clinical depression that's not a good thing.
my only takeaway is no more B list companies or partners ever again...........

Agree whole hearterdly that's absolutely the difference here, that and said competition don't openly scalp prices or are perceived too, again could be purchasing power but optics and management of them is lacking at OC.

The problem OC have is one or two public staff members come across with genuine intent ( and I love em for it truly even if you don't like what yer hearing), and even recently due to pressure these staff have started to be more open, and that absolutely should be encouraged because what I saw prior, intended or not was something i'm not used to seeing towards customers.

Just personal opinion not a fact but It's the top level running the show that seem to not have evolved with the market and their consumer base, even when the friendly staff who share some of the problems and offer explanation its cavite with "I'll probably get in trouble for sharing" which I get there must be a level walled off but it highlights how old school the internal structure and process must be and a management style of yesteryear.

Demand is high right now, so OC can be assured of selling all stock no matter what they do or don't, demand like this wont last though. And it doesn't matter how hard you try or care, it's how it looks on the outside in, and right now there seems to be allot of inside looking out.

I ordered my Zotac Trinity yesterday, and i under the impression they let you know where you are in the que i still have no idea.
But to be honest im not really fussed when i have set in my mind next year. And im in a situation where im kinda using OC to keep my money safe as it probably would have been used over christmas.
so im gonna keep an eye out on other places, if i get the chance i can opt out :) kinda win win for me .
but would be nice to know where im at tho.

You will get an update Friday evening or if they ship any of your specific cards before then.

Sorry but why would random people who don't work for OC know that?

If the TUF non OC is cancelled, and if OcUK decide to offer me the option of changing to the OC card... will I pay the price diff that it was when I ordered back in September on day 2 or to the price it is now? and where in the Q will I end up - should be time matched from original order really?!

3080 really is a ghost of a card in Europe and v limited un US I think.

wonder when the 7nm version comes online and how that will compare perf per watt?

hears hoping one day before I die.

Dan - TUF 3080 non OC @ place 751
