Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Wow, AirBnB has popped. They got that valuation wrong
Did they get it wrong - surely the IPO was priced as 'attractive', but also based on standard accounting practice metrics. I mean, its not as if they would have wanted to do themselves out of money buy such a significant amount. 20-30% discount, maybe.

It could purely be down to market sentiment rather than fundamentals. Time will tell.

I know, but the people who advise them want to see a little pop but to see it go from $68 IPO to $150....that's money left on the table for the company

Yeah AirBNB will most likely drop a bit as its a hospitality thing, once The Rona' is sorted we'll see that climb..

I thought they had been trying to transition from simply holiday lets to also include more longer term letting which may be relevant? I don't know if it was motivated by the pandemic or not (suspect not) but it may make them less affected by it?

Morning All,

So I didn't sell up, even my EZY shares - no deal brexit has hit my shares hard.

All sides saying deal unlikely, not sure whether to sell up (im still in profit in some) and take what I can :/

Yeah I've taken a kick this morning, AML down, RR down, RR isn't just the Brexit thing though, they have a slightly lower than expected flying hours, they were expecting 45% vs last year, and ended up with 42%, still better than nothing though..

Expect things to carry on going down though as BoJos' oven-ready meal doesn't turn out to be as easy as he suggested, perhaps someone should have given him the instructions for the oven before this started...

Quite happy with Boris' incompetence giving us some more good buying opportunities, I missed out earlier in the year as I was moving house and didn't want to chance my luck too much.

Given the noises yesterday and this morning, No Deal is close to fully priced in.

Yeah there is that, would have been nicer last week though, HL monthly went in yesterday, if it had gone in today I would have gotten a bit more for my money lol

Still, in profit sooo, cant complain too much..

Yeah, i'm already about 10% down on my Hyve shares. That was a good time to buy wasn't it! :(
HYVE are shares you need to hold for a long time like 1-2 maybe even 3 years and then it's still a risk.

probably a bigger risk than gambling on easyjet shares going up 25% in the next 6 months.

pounds tanking it seems as well, fx rate makes nearly all foreign investments look good right now.

Yeah. I’m expecting to hold till 2022 at the earliest. Will take a long time for that sector to get back to full scale events I imagine.

So much are we expecting the market to go down on Monday if their is no deal.

There'll definitely be some downward movement if they say that's it, no deal.

If they do find some compromise though, it's going to be a big rise.

I've compromised and bought last week, and have cash ready for Monday.

It's tough choice.
I wouldn't put it past the scum in power to be driving the market lower just so they can get in. Then a deal appears!

I'm still in profit because I bought at near corona low. But if this turns out to be a likely no deal. Should have sold last week.

I decided against cinema shares. Its concerning the debt pile and to be honest, the future of cinema

PM and EU chief agree to extend Brexit trade talks. The EU's Ursula von der Leyen says she and UK PM Boris Johnson will "go the extra mile" to get a deal.

The odds have flipped right back to there being a deal. Should be a positive Monday if anything.

I don't really get the extension, they've had since March to get a deal done, I don't see how an extra week is going to change things on the 2 sticking points of fishing & competition, nothing has changed from yesterday on them agreeing
