What TV shows are you currently watching

Finally got round to Good Girls season 3. Feel like the show has kind of lost it's way. This season seemed to just end suddenly too, there was no real ending and storylines weren't closed at all it was very weird.
 
Peur sur le lac, (Fear on the lake), on Channel 4, a subtitled French police mystery set in and around Lake Annecy, Haute-Savoie.
A mysterious Ebola like virus appears in the beautiful lakeside town, and local cops Clovis Bouvier and his wife Lise Stocker race to track down the original carrier, who may be a local who works in a chemical research place in Geneva, 35 km away.
 
Kingdom. Really good series 1 and 2, what the hell happened with the writing in season 3? Utter garbage and had to s to p watching half way through. Not surprised it got cancelled!

Interesting. I'm half way through S2 and tbh, I'm not thinking it's amazing right now, so will be interesting to see what I think of S3 I guess. For me, the only likable character is Jay really, the rest are mainly d*cks... so I find it hard to like a show like that. Also odd that Jay was the psycho one initially, but now seems to be about the only sensible one. They seem to have just forgotten and moved on past some things from S1 to S2 too...

Like their mum going back to the street and Alvie hooking up with her... Alvie and whatsher name having basically a break up, now all of a sudden she's pregnant. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder if I skipped a season?

Yeah, just wait till you get to S3.... If you can do more than 5 eps then kudos... :D

Started watching Succession last night, seems watchable. Anyone watched it eight through, thoughts?
 
Hmmm I've seen most stuff so now stuck watching Absentia - Amazon prime. Typical US FBI agent stuff. Not particularly impressive. You know a show is poor when they have add music over speaking parts to increase the drama.

Trying to find more dark, twisted, cynical and mysterious stuff like Sinner, Sharp Objects - HBO (all Gillian Flynn books are dark),Black Spot (Zone Blance - Netflx), Bitter Daisies - Netflix

Might start Deadwinds - Netflix next if I can get on with the Finnish sounds.

Have you tried The OA, also Maniac, both netflix.
 
Missus suggested Queens Gambit the other night, watched first episode cautiously on Sunday and we finished episode 4 last night, it's so well made and captivating viewing, can't recommend it highly enough.

Also up to episode 5 of Devs (solo watch) and another show I wish i'd seen sooner, any description I give here wouldn't do it justice. If you like Garlands previous work and have anything more than a passing interest in sci-fi, give it a go.
 
Binged The Wilds on amazon Prime. Thoroughly enjoyed it, gave off lost vibes and quite well acted on the most part. Hope for a second season but likely not. shame.

Same here.
First ten minutes I'm thinking 'Is this a girl show?' but slowly started to get into it.
It should get a second season after how it ended but then again I suppose we don't really need to know any more.

I figured maybe it didn't hit Americans in the same way so they were fine with it, but maybe it's just me ... even a fun having kind of devil I'd expect to have much more presence and menace.
