I seriously hate Geforce Experience ...

Not the program itself, at the least how much easier it is to update drivers using it, but needing to log in with an actual captcha check and needing a captcha check everytime I can't remember my password so like 5 tries before I remember the right password I used for it, but for a simple app I have installed on my PC? Why exactly does the thing even need an account to use?

I don’t use it, if you don’t know what optimal settings to use to get the best experience or how to download and install a gfx a driver or capture gameplay video then it’s for you including all the bloatware.

Otherwise the data it collects about you would be useless! The app is another data collection app. Tells NVIDIA what games you play and when and so on, all data that is useless if it doesn't know who you are. My guess is that NVIDIA have a long term plan for the app and it has nothing to do with settings!

Nvidia introduced all these security checks as they had their forums hacked a few years back. So beefed up security.

Sounds like you are clicking the button that does a fresh install? That deletes everything Inc Geforce experience

Just go express and it won't do that

The login is a PITA but once done that's it. I don't actually use it for anything other than the driver download and installation. I'd forget to update them otherwise.

They can collect data without logging in like AMD does if the user accepts the option to send anonymous data. As you say this looks like a markleting tactic so they can send you emails and targetted ads. GFE may even be looking at how many are playing pirated games.

Yes correct just tested it whilst doing my new card. If you tick clean install you have to log into GE, if you dont then it remembers your login.

(although you dont need to go express just don't tick clean install, you can still use custom.)

I use it to upgrade drivers nice and simply and for nothing else. It's good for that imo.

No its already installed, I try to open it via the search bar every few months or so when I need a driver update and always have to login.
