I totally agree, I've not got any problems with OCUK, and sure we're all a bit miffed with Nvidia, but most of my anger is now directed at ASUS. First they produce 10X as many OC cards giving their first F you to those that pre ordered non OC cards, I get they make more money on OC cards but 10X as many is absurd. Then for the second F you, they distribute the tiny amount of non OC cards they do have across retailers that don't have pre orders as well. So they made say 40-50 people happy who managed to snag a non OC card today, whilst angering over 1000 people that have already payed and have been waiting months. Well done to whoever's brain child that was... *slow clap*
The GPU's they are provided from Nvidia are mostly all OC capable GPU's and they are obviously going to be using them in OC cards after binning them for the most profit. It's just bad luck that the GPU's they are provided are mostly high enough quality to be put into the OC inventory and not much is going into the non-OC inventory because of that.
