unless someone will become a scalper and will sell for 1000£ then it will make sense. Otherwise if you returning for msrp price, just pointless. i recon Ti may cost around 1000-1200£

Yeah the thought crossed my mind but 1. I don't want to scalp and 2. I really don't want to go though the hassle of trying to secure another card. But I agree that's probably the most sensible way to get your hands on one if you don't mind scalping. Of course if it's in your price range and that's what you want, go for it.
Hello @Gibbo since the release of 3080Ti has now been confimred, can I get back to my original question of how is OCUK going to handle uypdated for all 3080 customers that are still waiting for the card ordered in September. As you know the "vaperhardware" of Asus Stric 3080 OC is still a myth and tbh it's not OK we are still waiting for the card that will be outdated in a months time. I shall point out that at this moment is time nothing has been "confirmed", it's still only rumours and theories.
Better to ask now then to wake up after the fact. We all know that this will be released as Nvidia is lacking moral spine and instead fulfilling all the back orderrs around the world they just work on the "better" more expensive card.
Cancelled my order of a Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Pro OC, sorry but I just ran out of patience and I've ordered a 3090 from elsewhere. I was 16 in the queue so I guess people will be moving up the queue accordingly.

Off OCUK? Months if you don't already have a decent que position. You'd be better joining discord and adding "Partalert" or "Stockdrops" and turning on notifications for 3080's on those channels and keeping your eyes peeled. You'd have an easier time if you'd be willing to take a few various AIB's rather than just the Ventus as well.

I feel that way... they are meant to be getting 86 but only seen them mention they have received 17 so far...

What new Samsung contract? OCUK have a huge amount of pre-orders for the 3080, even if production ramps up significantly I'd have thought it will take a while to clear that backlog, again if you're not too picky which card you want you'll get one quicker.
The best way I'm aware of is to download the discord app on your phone and add partalert and stockdrops and turn on notifications alerts for 3080 on each channel and be ready to jump on it when you get a notification.
I'm not currently looking though, there could be better ways I don't know.
In the updates gibbo has said he's coming back on the 4th of January, don't remember when ScottiB is coming back though, you'll have to find that out yourself.

IIRC the distributors and suppliers have shut for Christmas/New Year so there is unlikely to be more stuff shipped, so any possible updates would just be for bits that were already in transit arriving between OCUK opening up and closing again for NY.
I honestly can’t believe most of you above 50 in the queue are even here or have patience for this S show knowing that it could be getting on for half a year until you get your cards. You have the patience of a saint whilst waiting for a miracle. As long as you don’t vote with your wallets nothing will ever change.
