What is the attraction towards the founders edition cards?
(Im asking because my ignorance exceeds my knowlege level)

£650 and includes a zero-RPM mode for quiet operation.

I'm waiting for the Gigabyte Eagle or ASUS TUF Gaming to return to £650, as both also feature zero-RPM modes but come with better coolers (the Eagle runs 10C cooler than the FE) and standard power connectors.

As well as all the other reasons already posted, the other one is size.

To fit in my case I needed something less than 2.5 slots wide and no more than 290mm long.

That limited me to the FE or the EVGA XC3 cards, and we all know how well the EVGA cards were shipping...

I'll be very surprised if we ever see any of the AIB cards return to £650, reportedly they only hit that price on launch day with $50 GPU price reduction from Nvidia and that support was only a limited launch deal.

Roght, but OCUK is open again. When folks are off, others cover their roles. Otherwise stuff would grind to a halt when they are on holiday etc.. This is not an amateur operation,.. and that is a normal mode of operation for any firm...

I'm 101 in the queue so I'm going to stick it out for now, just frustrating that I ordered it relatively quickly and chose this model because it said 'due date 21st September' on it, call me naïve I don't care but I believed it and would've went for another model otherwise. And now it looks like I've got a model which doesn't seemingly be getting stocked at all for this particular retailer. But I'm just glad I'm not in the high hundreds. Also annoying that my card was declined twice from both overclockers and another retailer around 5-10 minutes after the release time (was my fault, problem with my card) and I would've had the card by now if it wasn't for this mistake.

Hindsight is a bitch, don't worry about it you can't change it.

I feel like ocuk actually got roughly the same amount of cards as other competitors, it’s just that ocuk allowed, unluckily, more pre-orders in which larger queues were formed

I noticed that too. Ocuk may have received some, just might not have booked them in. Hopefully we'll find out on Monday.

So far OCUK got only one delivery of Ventus, at least from what they've noted in the forum over the past few months. Hope @Dis86 is right though.
