I am tring to install the X570 chipset drivers but keep getting installation failed,

Any ideas?

I've installed the chipset drivers from AMD, the ryzen power plan still does not show in windows is this normal now or am I missing something

Was just about the ask the same question. Got a Ryzen system for the first time and heard about the Ryzen power plan but couldn't get it to appear. So with the 5000 series Rynzen CPU's running the balanced power plan is basically the same at the Ryzen plan now?

Yes, 5xxx series no longer have power plans, just stick in Balanced :p

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about what power plan is best too. I’ve got it on balanced but I saw in the latest AMD reference guide to using Ryzen Master (p10) that AMD recommends using the high performance plan when using Ryzen Master, so presumably that would go for any type of overclocking in general?

Cheers.

Test before and after in the apps and games you use. I reckon you'll see better performance over the long term in Balanced. Ryzen always has looked after it's own "opportunistic boost" when thermals and power limit permit, 5xxx series more than ever.

Some will claim all core OC is better, but for 99% of users, leave it be to do its own thing IMO, just supply adequate cooling
