Correct, and means that the 3080 mobile version will have a small bus.
 
Yeah, if nvidia had created the 3080 with the same bus width as 3090 and thus 12GB a lot of this arguing over VRAM amounts could have been avoided though that would make it cost more to produce and possibly decrease the already small perf difference between them. :p
 
The 3060's lesser spec is only really going to handle 1080p / 1440p gaming comfortably.
So 12gb is overkill, and 6gb would barely be enough for 1440p.
I guess what I'm saying is the 3060 does not make much sense next to the 8gb 3060Ti.

- Now a 16gb 3070Ti would have made more sense lol.

does it come with all 3080s? even the FE? if so those lucky few who get an FE at rrp get a nice deal!

I got one with my FE, sold it for £30 and Geforce Now for £5. Every little helps.

Ah interesting.

Had email on 4 Jan from retailer customer service where I bought MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X with code to redeemed Call of Duty Cold War with link below was mentioned 11th January 2021, I dont know it now extended to 11th February 2021 after read your post.

Nvidia would have been happy to stick 6GB on it. But it would have been slated when AMD brought something out with 12/8 GB at that price point.
