Nvidia CES 2021 stream

Only update for the 2070 Super is a 3060 TI.

It's time to come back home Bug - to a RX 6800, we've missed you. :)

Unless you've got a special supply of GPU's, how can he?
I've been on the AMD website again and still, unable to place an order.

OCUK's "stock" has yet to materialise either.

I never said it was going to be easy, to get any sort of GPU upgrade.

But i hope he will consider it, stock pending.

Are AMD even going to sell any further "reference" 6800XT's or 6800's?
Not that I've any faith the website will work as it didn't last time (Not that AMD made any public apology).

Had a 6800XT in my basket, at the checkout to be greeted to nonesense of "Can't deliver to address"

At this current moment in time I'd literally beg in front of @Gibbo and offer up my first born to sell me one of these ; ▷ Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT MBA 16GB GDDR6 PCI… | OcUK (overclockers.co.uk) for its listed £680.

Yes, see the tweet below (though i think you may have already seen it).
Scott Herkelman on Twitter: "@arthur_juglans We've just officially extended the reference design builds indefinitely due to popular demand. Thanks for the feedback." / Twitter

I had a similar experience to you when i tried to get a 6900 XT at launch, ended up buying one elsewhere weeks later from a competitor so can relate.

I hope Ocuk honour that price so you can get one Martin.

According to Lisa Su the reference will continue to be made:

Lisa Su: ‘We knew about the expiration of some tariff policies, and in advance worked towards a more flexible supply chain as it relates to AMD. We are committed to keeping GPU pricing as close to our suggested retail pricing as much as possible, because it’s the only way to be fair to the users. Normally when we have GPU launches, our own branded cards are available initially but then fade away for our partners to pick up. This time around we’re not phasing out our RX 6000 series, enabling us to sell direct to customers as low as possible. We’re encouraging partners to do the same. Not only tariffs, but the COVID environment has increased shipping and freight costs, which are hard to avoid. As we get into a more normal environment, this should improve. This also matters for our planned graphics updates through the first half of the year, as we have a lot of product coming to market.’

Ampere needs a new bios update, driver update and a motherboard update before they can offer any form of Sam support
3060 12Gb will have more vram then the 3080.
That's pretty cringy.

Updating BIOS to add new feature support is nothing new, while no amount of updates is going to sort out RT or AI SS with RDNA2 :p

As someone running a 10GB 3080 I have to say it's been great so far. I wouldn't recommend a 3060 12GB over a 3080 10GB :p

I think Nvidia deserves a clap for rage mode as I can't think of any other excuse for your posts :D

they probably didn't announce the 3080ti because all the people who waited months for the 3080 and paid over the odds, to release another card so soon, will make the 3080 owners a bit peed off, 3080ti will probably hit the shelves Q4 2021

And it will be a smooth release will plenty in stock or a disaster like the 3080
Gamers Nexus just posted a video saying that board partners have told them the 3080 Ti has been postponed until Nvidia can sort their stock situation out, as they didn't want to announce another card that nobody could buy. Apparently it was originally on the cards for CES.

The 3080 Ti is now a pointless card. It will be launched less than a year away from 4080. Both the 3080 and 3090 owners must be happy at this development.

Nether happy or unhappy. I don't and never have understood why people get upset by new releases of tech. Does nobody do research anymore ? If the card you bought isn't sufficient for your needs why did you buy it in the first place ?

The card you have is still exactly the same specs as when you bought it. When and if the 3080ti gets released the 3080 will still be as fast as it is now.

Funny how they say "from only..." and then follows an expensive number. GTX970 was the same price. Now the lowly x60 goes for the same. Here's hope "from only $499 for our new RTX5600 and from only $349 for our 5500".
Yes and unfortunately, it will be the norm now

The 1070ti came out less than a year before the 2080 came out. I cannot remember anyone being particularly upset or happy about that launch.

So another site has a gigabyte G5 laptop for preorder £998 with a 512gb SSD i5 10500h ( didn't realise this was 6 core!) 16gb ram and RTX 360 with a 240hz refresh rate.

I would say given the current situation and I expect the mobile 3060 to perform at at least GTX 1080/RTX 2070 this will be a great laptop!

Thoughts??
