*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Ditto. I don't think anything I said in my post was inflammatory, I'm just stating it as it is; unacceptable to be waiting so long with little to go on. I'm still £700 out of pocket until my refund goes through.

I just wish I could get into a queue with a reliable retailer, can't even place an order anywhere and I refuse to place an order at one of these stores that have just popped up overnight over the last few months. I'd much rather place it with OCUK if I can

Gonna be waiting a longggg time, only thing to do really is stalk websites and stock alert discords

@Gibbo, very sort of open ended question, when about do you think about 100 3080 ventus's would be reached? and by that stage do you think IT might have been able to put up a solution enabling people to change their card selection to something similar to their currently ordered card? No worries if its too far fetched

Ha ha ha, that's a long wait. Did you already pay.

If you're in a queue you have to pay Before being placed in one.

Yea it's a bit of a wait. The crazy part is if everything went the way it had been going, then I should have gotten it during this Feb or March, But because of how there's a drought right now. I have no idea, Until production pick's up,

Well in any case I can wait not in a rush anyway, I do hope I get it soon though.

I don't get why 3080 Trio X pre-orders are being upgraded to Suprim X's, but not Ventus (maybe with an £x supplement to cover off OCUK's profit?)

It has been explained many times now in this thread, just search for posts from Gibbo using the search option top right of the screen...

Not all Trio X orders were upgraded, just the people in the queue far down enough to reach the stock OC had built up of Suprim X cards. It's also been pointed out by Gibbo that OC were able to do this because they could still make a very small profit doing so (I believe he quoted £15, but somebody can correct me if that's wrong). If they upgraded the Ventus orders, they would have lost money doing those swaps.

As for a £x supplement, their system doesn't allow for it and in some cases they are not allowed to do it either (Amazon Pay was one example iirc).

I'll try and edit in Gibbo's post on that topic.

EDIT:
Gibbo said:
On the 3080 we have far more back orders on Gaming X compared to Ventus. Also as we sold 3080 Ventus at MSRP which we quickly learned was a fake MSRP which board partners could not truly hit means that Ventus cards now lose us money as such upgrading them to a Suprim is out the question as the we would lose a lot of money per card. The problem is right now even for those are happy to pay extra we literally have no resources available to allow customers being called to offer upgrades and then take payment as customer services are all tied up.

The 3080 Gaming X we sold at £770 so we have the ability to upgrade those to Suprim cards and still make a small profit, about £15 per card whereas to upgrade Ventus to Suprim we lose around £100 per card so it’s really not possible.

That ENTIRELY depends on how you paid. Sorry but by choosing less traditional payment methods (paypal, Amazon etc) rather than a straight card payment, our hands are tied by anal service agreements. To prevent us from breaching said service agreements, our systems are hard coded not to allow certain things to be done to any order with those payment methods.

But as you can see from Gibbo's post, even if you paid by a method that they can process an additional payment on, their customer service folk are already tied up.
