*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Will we still be getting our cards at the cost we bought them for originally?

Don't ask silly questions... the answer is in the quote
I can't believe NVIDIA with their MSRP, they are such a filthy filthy misleading dirty filthy company. We need competition badly.

It's mad how many ASUS are coming in, meanwhile gigaabyte has been nowhere to be seen except for a few here and there. Really wish I went with them!

i'm sorry if i seem like mistrusting, pushy and impatient I just have a lot of crap going on and i need my card desperately to do my work to be able to get into UNI.
lot's of friends and family keep saying that I have been scammed and I know for a fact I haven't but as the days go on I keep getting a nagging feeling like I will never get my card.

I want to say I'm truly sorry to you scotti and gibbo for my impatient behaviour.

p.s.
I have autism so please understand that I didn't intend to be so pushy or anything.
I just sometimes go over the top because I compulsively need to know everything that is going on and I cant control it

As someone with a disability you should talk to your universities disability services to see if they can give you certain provisions to enable you to do your course.
You can often get a PC for example, suitable for whatever course you're doing.

Considering they put the price up by £50 within 30 mins of release they are not making a loss of £100 per card in any case, even had cheek to change price between basket and checkout.

I actually got charged an extra £10 on top of that £50 and had to send message to get it back.

with the latest update today the numbers coming in are so disappointing! I know ocuk isn't to blame but seriously beginning to think is it worth it, been waiting on tuf 3080 oc since Oct and numbers seemed to be improving, now it all seems to have turned to **** again how do we get 100 3070's in but only 12 tuf oc 3080? in four weeks my q number will have dropped 12 places,
soul destroying! nvidia and Asus are doing a good job p****** o** any more money from me ever, after this bloody fiasco, and I still can't help thinking nvidia is controlling all this s*** parade! :(had to have a rant!:p

Don't have to be rude do you, it's not a silly question. Gibbo said quite a way back in the thread that they couldn't afford to make £100+ loss on these cards.

Considering they put the price up by £50 within 30 mins of release they are not making a loss of £100 per card in any case, even had cheek to change price between basket and checkout.

Ditto, I paid £690 for mine, but added it to the basket at £650.

Some folk have spent big money on that game!! I'm happy with the free ships I got from AMD gold promotion years ago when I picked up a 290x from OC.
Spent about £140 on the game (went for one of the boxed collector's editions). Massive Wing Commander fan so the allure of the game was too strong for me to resist. Probably going to bite me in the end but hey ho, can't take your money to the grave eh? :P

i can a small bit of money and some help but to get in i have to get a high predicted grade which is judged on my work and I can't do my work properly because my pc can't handle the graphics required by my game.

Because OC UK haven't got confirmation yet from any of the other manufacturer's just yet. We were warned it was going to be a slow month overall :(
i know its just frustrating to see some manufacture sending cards but nothing else. i understand the struggles atm im just salty about gigabyte not sending anything lol sorry

As I said previously

:) We have absolutely no intention of asking customers to pay extra for a card that they've got on back order and no intention of cancelling their order simply because of price changes. We'll argue the toss with the manufacturer before that ever becomes a consideration.

This situation hasn't changed despite our cost on the 3080 Strix, for example, going up by £90 since the start of the month. I just hope that all of those who were so vile about Gibbo having to increase prices from MSRP now understand that business is a double edged blade and we have to plan for such eventualities.

we are getting a decent amount of asus cards but nothing else... WHY?!?!
short memory?
Pre New Year when we had a big MSI & Gigabyte deliveries but no Asus what were you saying then?

I know for a fact that there's at least one fairly substantial Gigabyte delivery stuck in customs for the last two weeks, although I also know that most of that is my motherboard stock. However, there are many such issues affecting supply right now.

So I've had a read through and within the spam I managed to get the impression that there's a shipment of Asus 3080's stuck on a dock somewhere, is that about right? I think I'm 2nd or 4th in the queue for an OC one so if I'm not mistaken, that's good news- assuming I understood correctly?
I know this sounds dumb to ask but I'm having some issues finding the information admist all the other bits and bobs.

Hopefully all this gets sorted soon and those who've waited so patiently will be rewarded with their cards and everyone can be happy ^^

Not a moment too soon either, as my 750Ti seems to be throwing a tantrum since my pc saw me replace it, I'm convinced it's mad at me :')

Thank you for the confirmation and reassurance on this.

@ScottiB While its good to see a good number of Asus cards coming in, I am a little disappointed that only 12 3080 TUF OC are in that shipment especially compared to just before Xmas where numbers were a lot higher.

I know you guys are doing what you can to get us these cards ASAP, and brexit isn't helping, but any idea when we can expect to see numbers similar to before xmas?

It has been said a number of times that most cards are expected to have lower supply this month with 3080 suffering the most. Nvidia haven't explained why this is but that's simply where we find ourselves at the moment. Our expectation is that we won't see any large deliveries until after Chinese New Year.

I'm hopeful that I'll be surprised but not optimistic.

I won't name competitors obviously but I've had to pre-order elsewhere because OCUK (sensibly) stopped taking pre-orders. The place I've pre-ordered though, some guy ordered an RTX 3080 MSI Ventus 3X OC on 1st January and it's just been delivered. Sucks for those waiting here. I ordered mine a few days later so it's looking promising I'll get it before people who ordered on release day.

That’s the sucky thing, but then again, it isn’t OCUK’s fault...it’s down to what the board partners/Nvidia choose to send to them. OCUK has THOUSANDS of back orders yet they seem to be at the bottom of the list for priority for sending cards.

**** poor customer service from the board partners/Nvidia to be honest.
