Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

What apps are people using? Especially for day trading? I use t212 but finding it to be disappointing, especially with getting deposits into it.
I use iWeb - although mostly for long term stuff.

iWeb deposits are instant. I can transfer the cash and trade it in seconds.

212 for me.

How do you deposit?

I've done 3 now with differing levels of success

1st - Bank Transfer (set up from my bank) - Showed in my account within a few hours

2nd - Same as above. However this was on the 14th of Jan and still no sign of it. Support just keep saying they're looking into it. Getting annoyed by it now, luckily only £200. Although if i'd put that into GME back on the 14th....

3rd - "Instant" Bank Transfer where they use open banking. This showed up in a few minutes

I've not tried a debit card but others on here seem to have had decent success with that.

I can only assume you've not been on there much. It's a YOLO subreddit, and proud of it. They just pick a stock and run with it and enjoy making the memes. Most of em lose their shirts, it's all part of the tendie-town moon rocket gay bear fun.
I've read far better DD on there than here if that's saying anything..

$265 pre market now GME - This is getting halted by SEC - no way they will let it run. Doesn't get rid of the short positions but still I think they will halt trading on it.

If they did halt it creates even greater problems regards to it being a free market (we all know that isn't true anyway) and opens a whole can on worms when people kick back against that

The share is going up because people see value in it, that value is a giant F you to those naked shorters who have shorted more than the float, if anything, the SEC should be investigating how shorters are able to short more than 100% of available shares not a bunch of people rallying together to buy shares in a company to twist the knife into people who make their money on companies failing

Or use the OB connection

I'm curious whether AMC is a viable option now or whether that boats been missed.

It's either going to fly at open or have a huge pull back i imagine.

There is no value in it at $330 a share - that's the point. It' reckless manipulation of a share price......

I understand it's a F you to the shorters but it's just as reckless on the otherside trying to tell people to keep buying at that price - it's massive/hugely out of wack......

Reckless is the whole point of WSB :D

It is fascinating to watch. It would be nice to imagine that the little guy redditors are sticking it to the man....but the reality is that most of them will lose their shirts and the big boys (absent a few short sellers) will be cleaning up on the back of the volatility they created.

Isn't that what basically happened with the housing market and CDOs (pulling on my extensive watching of The Big Short)

Interesting that Burry has a finger in this pie too. Might keep an eye on short % in future. Virgin Galactic is 2nd highest short % after GME currently... Also having a good run up

Still 4 hours till opening time - This has all the hallmarks of total and utter meltdown.....Either in a good way or a bad one....

Insane stuff - Genuinely good luck to anyone involved but staying well out of it.

I've had virgin galactic on my watchlist for a while. I figured as they progress towards getting people up there it's good for some short term jumps.

I've connected the instant transfer thing now to my Starling account. It is instant.

Bank transfers tend to take a day, although I had one recently that went missing for a week and a half and I had to chase their support for....
