Was actually causing WHEA errors and idle reboots on 5000 series CPUs too based on info in that thread.

Good find and very important update for 5000 and 6000 series users.

No it came from here, purchased on the 22nd when they became available. Sapphire have said that there isnt a warranty on the card as it may have been purchased from a discount reseller and that definitely wasn’t the case. I’ve sent them pictures of the serial number on the box and the card but they won’t budge.
I’m hoping it may just be a mix-up, but what would have happened a year down the road if I had a warranty issue that couldn’t have been resolved? Not a good start to an expensive product.

Speak to overclockers, they will sort it for you. Reading this reminded me to print of my invoice, rather than leaving it in my mail to be randomly deleted in a couple of months!

In further developments, I have just read up on the fan specs for my Nitro+ 5700XT and Nitro+ 6800XT and found that I am able to put the perfectly behaving middle fan (87.5mm) from the 5700XT into the 6800XT.
The fans are the same connector and power rating, all that Sapphire did this time around was change the impellers.

No squealing or anything untoward. TRiXX fan health check reports success on all 3 fans and its night and day from the stock 6800XT fan. Given that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was the middle fan causing the noise, and apart from that, the card is great, I may wait until replacement fans for the 6800XT are released instead of going through a lengthy RMA process.

If it helps, for my GPU score of 20231 I had the following for my Nitro+ 6800XT.

2600/2725 min/max frequency
1150 voltage
Fast Timings
2100 VRAM
Power +15

Thanks on my 6800xt nitro, I’m trying them now. Timespy crashed with voltage at 1150 so I’ve reduced to 1000mv and I’m getting a score of 19860
I’m doing a cardinal sin and daisy chaining 2 8pins onto the card- do you think this is why it’s crashing?

The general consensus is that daisy chaining is bad so if you have the opportunity to use 2 separate cables, do so.

Max Overclock I can get is 2725mhz and 2100 vram fast timing. But can only manage 19860 though on timespy.

Also voltage set at 1000-1025mv anything higher and timespy crashes.

Thanks for posting this, I have downloaded the latest but still causes issue, unsure if its my ryzen 3700X or 6800 or drivers (most likely from what I have read). I thought I was going mad as my machine would reboot after sleep and I had no idea why, I tested machine for a week no reboots, tried HWinfo (latest one), went to make a tea, came back and it had rebooted. Very odd but no real problem as I have had my fill of watching numbers :) shouldn't have tested whilst working though. luckily was working on a ubuntu box via ssh (VSCode is so good) so nothing lost.
