RTX 3080 Ti is incoming.
So is christmas, no real info on it besides the usual rumour mills that change their "info" virtually daily.
What resolution do you game at and what games? Do you require / want RTX and DLSS?
If you're not bothered about RTX or DLSS in Cyberpunk / other games and game at 1440p, then I would say 6800XT.Gaming at 1440, mostly playing cyberpunk 2077, the division 2, and Ghost recon series games at the moment.
Not too bothered about ray-tracing as can't use it with 1080 anyhow.
RTX 3080 Ti is incoming. Consider that before rushing to get RTX 3080.
Availability is so low I’d honestly just get whichever one I could. They’re both good options.
Seriously saying wait for the incoming 3080ti. Consider that Jan/Feb 2022 maybeRTX 3080 Ti is incoming. Consider that before rushing to get RTX 3080.
Final thoughts... for 10 minutesWorth a watch.
The VRAM comparison is redundant at this point, Hardware Unboxed video from above makes this obvious where in some games 3080FE does better at 4k than 6800XT. Which makes the VRAM argument more complex and oversimplifying it won't do. More VRAM doesn't mean better performance in short.as it has more memory

In short;
1. Get either that is available first.
2. 6800XT if you're not bothered about RTX or DLSS
Like someone said, grab which one is available. Be loyal to your wallet.
