*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Been waiting for my TUF Non-OC since Oct. Last queue notice was 1008. I was tempted to cancel so many times, but have been holding on to the hope of receiving it soon.

First post, greetings all...

I'm becalmed in the same boat as you all, and it's beyond painful at this point.

Quite a lot of people received news about shipment even tho there was no news from suppliers on the official stock thread?
Not that I'm anywhere near getting mine 3080 TUF OC but still that's a bit odd

There was about 20-22 OC & non-OC TUF shipped last week, the first movement on that line since November...

I RMA'd my 1080Ti on 18 Aug 2020... it took them over a month to tell me it couldn't be replaced and the best I could get was a replacement from the 20xx series or partial refund, which was recommended with the 30xx on the horizon. By the time the refund had processed and I'd placed my order for the 3080 TUF OC, my first queue position email logged me at #714.

Obviously this is no-one's fault and I'm sure there's a frantic effort to meet demand behind the scenes, but it's been a total bummer, and I've missed the mental escape valve particarularly during the periods of national lockdown. By the time I receive my 3080 i will have been approaching 9 months without a card. I'm sure everyone can relate to the frustation.

Damn that sucks man, at least it was an RMA issue and your not kicking yourself like some people who sold their cards thinking they would have a 3080 instantly.

True. At least I'm not crucifying myself for that!

Honestly, the first few months I didn't really hanker after it so much, but the last couple of months when the dark winter nights have come in early, I'm getting the itch - and there's nowt that can be done. If anything it's honed my patience. I'm down to double digits now - #77. It's within reach, but still so far - at the rate of the last few weeks it'd be mid-summer before I'm supplied, nearly a year on from the RMA. I do expect it'll pick up in the coming weeks - but it's scarce consolation really considering the wait so far.

Right , I barely post anything but this current situation has driven me very angry!

I was previously stuck in the same bloody position for 5 weeks in a row, I have now waited half a year having ordered the very afternoon this damn card was released. I don’t blame overclockers in the majority - inno3d have been *extremely* disappointing. Not replying to their genuine Twitter messages asking about stock updates and instead posting some b.s about “have fun with your card” and “what game are you looking forward to?” - cut the crap!! It’s no longer “fun” - especially when most of your “buyers” have abused cards by putting them in mining rigs by the hundreds or scalped them. They couldn’t even write an update post in any semblance of English grammar back when there were talks about the poscap issue ...

Nvidia need blame as well - an utter paper launch and knowing full well they could never even attempt to dent any demand. It’s like releasing a product you full well know you can’t provide and will instead rake in profits playing people with a future pipe dream.

does anyone else feel like me ? This is disastrous

Welp, just got my TUF non OC 3080 and very, very happy with it. Just a warning to everyone else though, if you were expecting to get the promotional items you were promised by Nvidia, you can't any more. Even though they are listed on your receipt and you never got them, the promotion is apparently over and there is nothing anyone can do to get you the items you were sold. Incredibly annoyed that items I was promised are not going to be given because they weren't able to ship them in time but nothing to be done apparently. No fault of Overclockers at all of course, nothing they could have done but a heads up to everyone else. No GeForce now or Watch Dogs for us

I’m hoping if back orders are cleared for certain cards we will be sent whatever they have... I’m not bothered what card I even get at this point I just want one. Waiting 6 months after ordering within the first hour of release is just rubbish. Again, I understand it’s not OCUKs fault and appreciate the work they are doing. Can’t say the same for NVIDIA and card manufacturers LOL

Completely agree there honestly. At this point I'm willing to go with whatever's left over hahaha this has to be the worst tech shortage in history

So, i managed to get a card, cancelled my order a couple days ago, now my ventus is arriving.....I just wanted my money back, now i have to deal with sending it back, though if they don't offer to pay shipping, i will have to sell it on to recoup the money. What an ordeal this has been

Tweaker - I was after the RTX 3080 Ventus specifically due to the lack of RGB, albeit it seems not many were made. The Gaming X and Suprim are too big for my case. I appreciate it's a sellers market, but if the card is new and sealed I would potentially be interested...

You can drop a webnote or a post on the customer services page to get COD Black Ops Instead of Watch Dogs, not sure what day that is valid to but worth a shot?
