Not all of us even received the initial email about the issues. I imagine i am in the mid 100's for the 3080 now and my 5900x has been stuck on a pallet since the 12/01....

I would have loved to even just know where I am in queue, dont care if my card turns up and then is left in the warehouse for a bit, just be nice to know where I am in the queue.

Yeah absolutely. I completely understand the fact that this is a complicated situation and it takes time but we should surely be getting queue updates at least? Especially since they said that our positions will continue to update and our item will be reserved once it gets to us.....

Ya its a shame, I know for sure Im still a long way in the Strix 3080 OC queue but I wouldnt mind a number coming in every Friday.

They are all third party plug ins. Legal privacy requirements.

tying payments to order information was why the IT team had to pull the all-nighter.

All cards definitely launched on pre-order from what little I could see. They were definitely all set to pre-order before the signal was sent to put them live. There was a lot of problems with the server cache, which meant that some customers could see cards and others couldn't but I didn't see any "in stock" icons on anything.

We don't offer any other longer term delivery services.

Still in the hands of our IT team. Until DPD are happy with the information feed they won't accept the parcels.

last update I heard is that DPD moved the goalposts again, insisting on changing the layout of the shipping labels and we are waiting for their approval on the test labels that we sent to them.

this will be in next generation. and hopefully gonna be on hardware .otherwise we all have the same problem as now.nvidia should have thought about this ages ago
 
Hey I'm new to this forum, i seen there was more stock for the aorus 3080 xtreme and i've been watching it none stop since i seen the update anyoe know if it went up already???

Unfortunately I don't think it will be hardware baked in the next gen.

Even the 3060 can still be used to mine other coins... nvidia just blocked a certain memory access pattern used by Ethereum miners, but you can still mine Raven, zcash, Eth classic and others with a 3060 as they all use different algorithms...and they are all profitable right now afaik.

Also, by the time a crypto rush happens again (my guess is 2023), Ethereum likely won't be minable anyway - will there be other profitable GPU friendly coins to mine then? Who knows, but if there are, I can't see how nvidia can block them all, and as soon as they do someone will just write a new mining algorithm anyway. And as we all know, any bios or driver fix will be quickly worked around by the community.

Cypto took a massive hit over the past few days, with many coins dropping nearly their entire February gains. This is the biggest correction yet and could be a sign that it's starting to end. All we can do is hope.

Also, crypto mining is really just decentralised computers doing the transactions that would normally be carried out by centralised financial institutions - when you look at it that way it's hard to see what can be done.
 
If i want to buy a 3080 do i just keep refreshing the page until it comes in stock because my friend said he had to click a link on a forum page to get his 6800xt or something so the bots didnt get it? can someone help me please ive been looking for a 3080 for a while now

They’re all out of stock, either buy from a scalper or stalk every retailers you can find constantly and have your card ready to pay. Or just wait until things level out... if you have months to wait
 
Looking over past posts on this forum, it is clear that OCUK have not been completely honest about certain things. Come on @ScottiB & @Gibbo give us some answers to these simple questions.

  • Why does OCuk spend so much money each year with fake news that the world is not flat?

I think it is only fair that you answer some of our questions.
