Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

It's a bloodbath, but some are for no real reason. The big boys like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon etc... are absolutely worth their value. Other stuff like *********, obviously not.

Probably more to do with the US 500,000 Covid deaths, and the arguing and delaying of the stimulus package. In the end it's like to lead to the money machines going burrrrrr.

Agree but other reasons include inflation talk...bonds rising...also some profit taking...perhaps when Powell speaks on US economy it may cool...

NASDAQ -3.5% so far today. Not pretty.

Jut been watching all my watched stocks that i have been in our interested in and all of them have had that rebound a few minutes ago at exactly the same time. Like literally all of them.

What is the cause of that? Is that just hedge funds/computers/algorithms doing there thing? How can it all be so perfectly coordinated across a spectrum of different stocks?

Mine are exactly the same as well. I usually trade in penny stocks but seems to be across the whole market.

It's found some resistance thankfully :p. Remember it's swings are always huge as well; it's now down to the price it was at at the beginning of Jan which itself was an ATH.

yeah as I mentioned before all this is learning for me with small stakes in stocks. Don't have positions in tesla but I do in NIO which took a similar dive. Have noticed most tech stocks have been falling since friday except for the company I work for Discovery channel which has been rising and apart from better then expected revenue I can't work out why :P

Yep, all at exactly the same time. At exactly 2.50pm they all rebounded...

How can it be possible for all my stocks, all across different industries in different companies to all rebound at exactly the same time?

The whole market is quite obviously massively manipulated by the big money in it.

This is the stuff I hate about stocks.
I dunno if it new. Or I just haven't been around as long. But actual results seem to matter less and less. Hype and speculation.. To a ridiculous level.. Seems to be what controls things.

Yeh, I have had a brief foray into this over the last month and have decided to pull everything out whilst I'm about even.

The whole thing seems stupid with very little movement based on anything tangible.

It just seems like one company is worth half or double what it was yesterday for no reason and its quite obvious that all the big movements are massively influenced by big money, making any decision a retail investor makes a complete gamble.

Its not for me :p

yea I missed out on a lot of easy money before all the reds of the last few days just because I coudn't invest in something based on hype when I know the DD looks bad

if there's no longterm then I struggle to get in the mindset it can pay off in the short term just based on hype.
seems those days are over anyway

Influenced by big money and Elon Musks twitter!

Had a small amount spare so have bought some of CPI this morning, their restructure and RN contracts looks promising.
